Great pub with a good mix of locals and students during term time. Haven't eaten here for a while but the food looked good from what I saw. Its my old local before I moved so has a lot of memories. It's a decent pub for the football with big screens in the bar area and a separate lounge which is a bit quieter and has more seating. Has a very good selection of local craft ale and the unusual tap beers. Good selection of spirits and decent wine. Well worth a look in, very friendly. You'll be chatting away if you sit at the bar in no time.
Lovely pub with excellent prices. Food is decent, don’t have a picture but I have had the nachos and you couldn’t go wrong. Only problem I have had is that sometimes the pints are poured quite badly. Flat and tastes bitter. This has happened with Fosters a few times but never had a problem with other beers. Very nice and chill with good TV’s for the football.
Have to say, we enjoyed our visit. The food was great. The staff friendly. Clean toilets and nice atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Food was okay and reasonably priced, my wife and I were served by a young man who clearly doesn’t like his job and was very rude. Other than him we have no complaints.Food: 3/5
Huge pub very quiet during my visit. Excellent service by young enthusiastic staff.Service: 5/5
Been there to watch the T20 semi-final. A decent place, staff even played commentary of cricket even though we were the only group to watch it.Food: 3/5
Swell pub, lovely staff, well kept ale.Food: 4/5
Welcoming, good temp, music not too loud and customers were all happy, especially with the stellar bar service Wheelchair accessibility: Facilities are all ground floor-accessible
Called in for lunch! We opted for burgers and fries. Unfortunately and with no apologies on arrival these took 50 minutes to be served. Maybe this is a standard wait time but unless busy it wasn't and the wait time is explained before ordering and paying I find it unacceptable. The salad - lettuce and cucumber with no dressing. Would have been a 1star review but the burger was tasty.
Great pub always has been. Love the new pool tables.Service: 5/5
