Good place for a pint hanging out with family and friends. Live music on weekends food is also alright. Some parts are under refurbishment but still open.
I can't believe I didn't know this beautiful pub existed before Saturday. It was rather empty when we visited and I truly hope this doesn't mean its days are numbered similar to other public houses. I would hate to see it turned into some sort of worship house oh the irony of all pubs turning into mosques. The decor is gorgeous and I was in love with the Chesterfield sofas, lighting and omg I want my bathroom to have the gorgeous flooring they have in the toilets. I'll definitely be back. The staff were lovely and friendly too, drinks are very reasonably priced.
The pub itself is beautiful. Great layout, love the decor. Where it fails short is in a few areas: - The identity of this pub is somewhat confusing - The drinks selection is a little on the small side. For instance, the whiskey selection consisted of only Bells and Jack Daniels I went on a Friday night and it was fairly quiet, which I don't mind at all, especially in a bar of that size. The music could've done with responding to the vibe in the bar and mellowing out rather than loudly pumping out club music. I'll definitely return especially if they still have bands on. With a slightly more lively atmosphere this place will be amazing. Alternatively I'd recommend it if you want to quietly sit in a leather Chesterfield chair and drink a pint in the early evening.
Wicked environment, great welcoming staff, clean and tidy and have some really good night's of entertainment. Not too dear on the drink prices either. Get yourselves down there!!
Not a great overall vibe, felt uncomforatble when playing pool as the people in the pub were acting slightly hostile. They seemed to be fairly familiar with the bar staff. Hopefully just a one off experience.
A lot of space and sometimes a good atmosphere. However the staff are not always polite, the music can be a little loud and nothing else around
Love the building for its design. When it is full the bands are electric. It has new owners and needs time to get back there.to the pub I say be quick and get ideas from the customers.I would say put drink price lists up and more bar staff and tills on.
Love this pub have since I used to go in the 90s good quality bands pool tables open till 3 am it's a good old pub shame not many pubs around like this
Great service, lovely bar ladies and gentlemen. Live music, karaoke nights too, DJ play great music and the alcohol is fairly priced
Need bar staff who can remember more than one drink at a time. Shame as they have great bands. Ruined my night.
