Good selection of ale. Lovely pub- clean/good service.
Went to see a gig here for the first time. Great mix of people, young and older, at the old bar and the gig space was tiny but that just makes for a better atmosphere. Loved it.

I really like The Castle Hotel. Some great ales including occasionally the amazing Titanic Plum Porter. It's also a great place to watch bands playing. The band room can get very hot and sweaty, but I've seen some amazing gigs here. In summary, The Castle Hotel is a Manchester institution.
Perhaps the best pub in Manchester- interesting crowd, good drinks, three different rooms, and a great small gig venue in the middle. Opens late, decent jukebox
Love this little spot! It's so nice to see an old and authentic looking pub in amongst the hipster bars of the Northern Quarter. They've got a good size gig and events space but it can get very busy on gig nights! Extra seating upstairs
