Food is great but I'm a regular and have noticed over the last 3 months that portion size is greatly reduced. We had Shepard pie which was in a very small dish and minimal veg we had to buy chips to make it a meal. Unfortunately if this happens again we will go elsewhere.

This place has been renovated in the last year and the new look is more open and airy. The food is excellent and is far more high-end than the standard pub fare you would expect. The staff were friendly and it wasn't too busy. This place should get more attention than it seems to be getting. Outstanding food at an affordable price.

Lovely setting. Great grub (traditional with a twist of a La carte) and real ales. Missus happy, too. What more could a bloke ask for?
