The GT Live Sessions take place at The Britannia (GU2 4BE) every Wednesday evening (apart from the first Wednesday of each month) from 8.30pm. Please note these are 'Showcase Sessions' with invited acts, not 'Open Mic' nights.

Story

These evenings at The Britannia are showcase sessions for singer songwriters to perform their songs in a friendly environment, to a supportive and attentive audience. We have seven acts performing every week.

It is a fully live evening, so acts do not use backing tracks.

These evenings are not Open Mic Sessions, but invited showcase sets.

This is a very dog and child friendly pub. Food and atmosphere are hard to beat. Our local favorite for a Sunday. We don't find that there is much of a wait for food or drinks. I remember this pub being a bit grubby years ago, but it seems new ownership has completely transformed the place.

Great riverside family pub. Good range of food & nice selection of beers & wines. Comfortable atmosphere with friendly and courteous staff. Books & games are available to while away the time. Very dog friendly. Last but not least, the loos are spotless.

Nice outdoor area with a good selection of beer. Food wasn't great it wasn't cooked very well. There are much better pubs for food in the area within walking distance.

Good outdoor courtyard and seating. Close to the center of town just along the river and the foods good. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a traditional pub with outdoor seating.

Its close with a few others but... this is the best pub in Guildford, fantastic atmosphere in the winter inside with an open fire and excellent pub food and outside in the summer it catches the evening sun. Shepherd Neame's Whitstable bay draft ale is one of the best pints of beer that money can buy. Great for dogs and staff are really welcoming! A+
