Love Corkage. The wine options are fantastic and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The small plates of food are tasty, but it's really all about the excellent wine. We had four glasses and they weren't cheap, but each was totally worth the price.
If you know nothing or everything about wines, this is the place for you. Super friendly staff who are incredibly knowledgeable and humble about it. Wine selection is fantastic and their tasting evenings once a month are really great events. Well worth the trip any time of year
So we intended to pop in for a glass of wine before moving on. Ended up sampling a wide range of wines from very knowledgeable staff Pete, had the charcuterie and cheese board and had a great evening. Not quite the last to leave but pretty close. I have just found a gem of a wine bar with quality wine, fantastic staff and great ambience. Thanks guys.
Lovely little wine bar hidden away from the busier parts of town. The service was really quick and friendly with a great selection of wines and nibbles. The only downside is that they had to close at 10 pm when we visited! We needed more wine time!
Been here twice now. Absulotly love this place . Each time we came we had a different member of staff. Both lovely. We Particularly like the owner. Great selection of wines, and if you do visit you can not miss out on the cheese board, Phenomenal!!
There aren't many wine bars in Guildford, so if you like wine, this is the place to come. They have a small but good selection of quality wines by the glass and an impressive selection by the bottle that you can purchase and drink there. The sommelier will give good advice too. There are eight wines that you can try too, as a tasting before you buy a glass. 4 white and 4 red. Enjoy.
Corkage is a brand new local independent wine and tasting room in central Guildford. They have a fabulous and extensive range of fine wines to purchase for home or to sample on site, several available by the glass, and all available by the bottle!! All the wines are sourced from smaller independent vineyards. To line the stomach the bar also offers plates of charcuterie and cheese, along with very tasty pate plates and the produce also can be bought to take away and savour at home. There are a small and beautiful venue and it is recomended to advise any customers wishing to visit them in the evenings to telephone in advance to check availability.
Every visit I make here the staff are always polite and friendly with a good knowledge of the wines. A lovely atmosphere to go and enjoy a drink with friends.
Exciting wide selection of unique wine. It would be good idea if a small plate of nibbles would accompany each bottle corked!
Excellent wine shop with a very extensive range. Very knowledgeable staff can help you choose with the added bonus of the option to drink your wine in store for a £10 corkage charge, hence the name. Light snacks of cheese, charcuterie and bread available. The tasting evening that we attended was superb.
