Lovely well kept little hotel. Comfy, clean and tidy rooms, mine was a little on the small side this time out, but I was on my own and only in the room to sleep, so no problem. Breakfast is outstanding, the medium sized serving is huge and defeated me. Staff are mega friendly and helpful. I visit every year for my regimental reunion, I won't stay anywhere else now. Rooms: Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, well appointed, tastefully decorated and furnished. Safety: I'm a retired Fire Service Officer, the fire safety was up to standard. Stairs a a little steep, so I would advise caution to anyone not steady on their feet and prevent young children from running. There are no lifts. Walkability: Tram stop 2 minutes walk. Food & drinks: Breakfast 1st class. They are also a restaurant and, judging by the number of people in there in the evening, a good and popular one.
We went for Sunday lunch there as we'd heard such good things. The service was excellent. The portions were huge. We had the onion soup and the smoked salmon starter. Both were very nice. There was warm bread before that too. They were clearly home made and very fresh. The lamb was a leg! It needed a table of its own! There were plenty of vegetables and roast potatoes. I'd say the Yorkshire puddings were a little over done. But on the whole, we both enjoyed it. There was far too much and we took a lot of it home with us. The two person's lunch would have been more than enough for four adults!
Don't get me wrong here , all in all not a bad hotel. I stayed off season and not many guests apart from me and 3 lads attending courses at Fleetwood college. Main gripe is went for evening meal to be told it's steak and chips or salmon, don't like either so Takeaway it was . Also had a pint that was sour , probably sat in the pipes for days, in fairness didn't have to pay. Need to up game for off season when mainly people attending courses
Superb service & lovely room & breakfast....my wife forgot her vanity mirror & they posted it and we received it 2 days later..what else could you ask for...Rooms: 5/5
Stunning Sunday Lunch. The leg of lamb was incredible, along with all the sides. The best roast potatoes in years. Superb service - the staff are brilliant. A must visit....
A nice warm welcome. Very clean tidy and nicely decorated. The room was nice and clean with a very comfy bed. Helpful staff and good location for trams etc. A great breakfast with lovely fresh local ingredients that sets you up for the day. Would definitely stay again when going that sy Rooms: Room was very clean tidy and had everything you needed with a very comfy bed. Nearby activities: Great location to get the tram or bus to Blackpool Food & drinks: Breakfast was lovely. Great sausage, thick bacon, lovely eggs black pudding mushrooms etc and very friendly helpful service
Only stayed for one night, we got such a lovely warm welcome when entering the hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had everything you'd need, it was clean, tidy and felt inviting, TV, tea/coffee making facilities. The best bit is its dog friendly!!. We missed breakfast but believe the food here is amazing. We'll be back soon, thanks for having us. Kelly & Dave x
Stayed one night staff very friendly food lovely room 17!!! Very clean tiny TV well equipped but ! There was a very loud humming all night so did not get much sleep checked reviews also a complaint about noise in room 17 hopefully management will sort it out before someone else has a poor sleepRooms: 4/5
Had a lovely night here, lovely modern and quiet room, lovely staff on checkin and at breakfast. The breakfast was amazing, had the Hearty Full English and it nearly beat me but I just couldn't leave anything. Certainly recommend staying with tram and bus stops nearby to Blackpool with ample free parking around the hotel.Rooms: 5/5
Couldn't fault this little hotel. As soon as we checked in the staff were friendly. The room was a nice size for a standard double. The room was clean with everything you need such as tea, coffee, kettle, iron and to make my day a fan. We stayed in a front facing room overlooking the road and tram line. Didn't hear any noise unless we opened the window. Breakfast was fresh with a good choice and very tasty. Next time we are in the area we will stay again.
