Our favourite Abingdon pub, always has beennA lovely ambiance and friendly staff. The internal layout is lovely with separate areas which manage to feel as one. Good beer, wine and great food...hence it's always busy so book a table to be sure.nThe outside space is a courtyard with plenty of tables and heaters.nWe have never stayed in the room but understand they're as good as the rest of the pub.nWhat's not to like.
Outstanding meals over the last couple of weeks. Staff lovely. Proper good quality food. Nice atmosphere. A real find we will be back. Good to see an old fashioned pub which appears to be thriving.
Large, comfy room. Bar service was outstanding with staff actively walking round tables to take orders. Food was excellent - hot, reasonable time, very tasty and a good choice I had brisket with extra gravy. Beer is in excellent condition and a good choice of cask and keg. Downside is lack of parking and steep stairs to rooms
One of my favourite pubs in Abingdon. The atmosphere is always bustling and welcoming. The bar and serving staff are so friendly and helpful. Always really nice for a drink. Food-wise, the pub is well known for its pies and huge platters - think ribs, fried chicken, brisket, etc. All delicious and quite reasonably priced given the size. When my dad visited he insisted on coming two nights in a row for dinner!nSeptember 2024 update: went out for dinner with friends and we had another great meal. Big shout out to our server Mia for being an absolute delight!!
Great time at the Brewery Tap on the weekend. Popped by to see some local live music and had a great evening. Atmosphere was lively, music was excellent and Staff were lovely.nnHad a good few pints of Amstel and a jolly good time.nnWill be back again for more no doubt in the future!
