Story

Welcome to The Boothwood Inn, a traditional country pub in the rural village of Rishworth, Halifax. Conveniently located just a short drive from J22 of the M62 and situated near the scenic Yorkshire Moors and villages of Ripponden and Sowerby Bridge.

We served food both and lunch and dinner and our menu comprises of traditional favourites, served with a contemporary presentation. All of the food is freshly prepared each day from scratch and in addition to our main menu we also have a selection of daily specials which we change frequently.

We have a great selection of Beers wines and spirits and in particular we take pride in our real ales, we are the Brewery tap for award winning local Brewery Oates and we always have their current crop of brews here for you to enjoy.

So whether you looking to and enjoy a drink in our comfortable bar area by the real open fire or you'd like to enjoy some wonderful home cooked food ew look forward to seeing you soon.

We’ve been going to the Boothwood for over 8yrs now and the food and service is always 5* the menu has something for everyone. A great “retro” menu with smaller portions Mon-Friday. Also a fantastic specials board and a tasty range of desserts. Highly recommend if your in the area as just off the M62 J22 In Rishworth.
Best find! Had to come for a return visit and will definitely come for another. Its worth the drive. Lovely helpful friendly staff as well. Perfect place.

***Updated Review*** Returned to try the vegan menu, which was excellent: good variety offered for all courses and all seemed to be homemade from whole ingredients ie no processed meat replacements. Food was very well cooked and presented and portions were very generous. Service was excellent. If you have a vegan in your party you will have no issues here. Top notch.*** We had a really nice family lunch here. The menu is fairly classic British on the whole but very varied, there are a number of specials and also smaller plates from a "retro menu". All the food was excellently cooked and presented and the service was prompt and friendly. This pub has a very cosy, traditional interior, with real fires, and is wonderful to have some good food and a chat. All 3 generations were happy with the fare and a good time was had by all. We'll definitely be back.
Lovely pub, great food and good value for money!!
Last minute decision to visit to meet up with my friend as is halfway between Manchester and Huddersfield. So glad we did! We were lucky to get a table as was busy. All the staff were great and the food was very good. Will definitely go back.
Just popped in for a drink and to check out the menu. I will return with family to have a meal; they have a Vegan Menu! Wenr back for a meal with family on 24.10.22. Starters and 3 meals very good, Steak and Ale pie was too salty though. Good service, meals good drinks selection. Meals a little on the small side glad we had a starter. Will possibly go back, but the pies need sorting, people can add salt if they want, but you can't take it out if it is already there!
I love this place. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is super cosy and the staff are very friendly. I have eaten here many many times, and I have never once had a bad experience. I can easily recommend The Booth Wood Inn - it's fabulous :
