We noticed this restaurant and it’s great location and decided to stop on our way back from nearby Caerlaverock Castle. It was very busy but they were happy to serve is in the balcony The shared platter was gorgeous and the coffee good. Nice shop too if you are self catering

Service very poor. Food was very good. But service was, shall I say is a complete let down. Coffee machine really needs deep cleaned. Even my second coffee had plaque floating in it. I am going to request another one now and see what happens....so I have waited so long again for someone to come. I have already had to get out of my seat to ask for our order to be taken and for cutlery. I shall not be leaving my seat for another sub standard coffee. I really can’t bring myself to drink it. I hope not to b charged for this untouched coffee. 😡

Modern building next to the river. Varied creative menu. All day posh breakfasts! Afternoon teas. Good veggitarian options. Mixed crowd. Friendly, helpful staff.

Best brunch yet, and we've sampled a few! Porridge was just right (not too hot, too soft nor too big/small!) and topped with lovely fresh fruit. Feta, beetroot and orange salad was excellent and the wedges with humous delicious! We 'retired' to the snug for a TeaPigs peppermint tea, a (soya) cappuccino and a generous slice of Border Tart to share! Really good food! All diets catered for. Super service with friendly staff. The most beautiful views and a great ambience. Already looking forward to our next visit!
