Nice old building which houses the coffee shop and hotel I believe. Quick service although a bit haphazard when sorting out the payment. Nice latte, but a bit weak. Hot chocolate was good as was the scone, but the sausage roll not as good as it looked. Touch pricey and waitress couldn't wait to clear up the table, almost like to get rid of you ASAP.
Fantastic place! Lovely homemade baking and licensed, so something for everyone Friendly service too, would definitely recommend
Stopped here with the kids for a drink an a quick bite. Overall drinks were ok coffee was ok but for a coffee house could be better. Milkshakes were good and kids loved them but don't think at £8 a milkshake they were that great. Great big pot of of tea but only one sugar. Menu was limited and seemed to lack light bite for me and everything else seemed abit pricey. £3.50 for a small bowl of chips and nearly £8 for pulled pork chips which was a tiny bit of pork and loads and loads of gooey fat 'in pictures' abit of BBQ sauce and some cheese thrown onto. Was abit much. Young lad who served us was excellent and polite however lady behind the counter was a little abrupt. Menu doesn't really help with allergens etc. Dietary restrictions: Menu isn't very informative on dietary restrictions however it is stated at the counter but when busy you don't want to appear award holding up the line not know what you can have.
The service was good and the feel of the place was homely. Our family ordered a Caesar salad which was just mixed leaves with Caesar dressing and pieces of chicken with no cheese at all. Also, we ordered the buffalo chicken. We were greatly disappointed because it was so spicy that it was practically inedible. We could not even eat it. There was some cheesey cream thing on top that we could eat it with but not enough for the level of sauce that was on it. It would have been nice if the cream sauce would have come on the side instead of on top of the dish and the actual buffalo sauce. I would not recommend this food but the drinks were fine , just normal.
My friend and I went here and had soya latte and chips! All lovely. Proper chips! As soon as the staff saw we had a dog with us he was given a bowl of water…and then a warm sausage! Just lovely!
Lovely coffee house and eatery. Popped in for coffee and ice cream and there were plenty of people dining. Staff very helpful and would definitely pop in for food next time. Spotlessly clean and really nice feel. Lots of space for dining and takeaway service for coffee and ice cream. Located on the corner opposite green and on same row as ice cream parlour.
Visited recently. Kids had crepes and cookie dough £8 each & they enjoyed them. Draught lemonade £2.50 I had a scone that had been heated up in the microwave & had a rubbery texture. Not expected for the prices at all. Wouldn't rush back. overpriced we felt.
Very nice place with good staff, I thought the service was slow until I realised that one had to order at the counter! I would have given it 5 stars but the crep'e I ordered was not cooked and had to be left. That would not put me off going again.
Had the cheese and bacon toastie, very thin hard bread Poor Quality, disappointing . Been before and was always satisfied with what I recieved but not this time
Nice place for a coffee and cake. Meals look ok as well. Will recommendFood: 4/5
