A huge thank you to the management who went above and beyond when we descended on him yesterday after our daughter’s wedding. Having not thought to book on a glorious day he quickly opened the garden room up - simply fabulous - made the whole weekend - exceptional service and lovely food
Gorgeous pub, beautiful surroundings and great atmosphere. Didn't eat just had a couple of drinks but the food others had looked lovely!
Today I was treated to a delicious lunch by my son and daughter in law for Mothers Day. I had the lamb and the sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely delicious, great service, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
The pub is in a really nice location, but we found the staff to be really rude. We sat at several tables that did not have reserved signs, we were asked to move twice in a rude blunt manner. I'm happy to be moved if I'm sat at table that's needed, but both wait staff where rude when asking us to move I appreciate that the restaurant was fairly busy at the time, but there were several empty non reserved tables. Staff were quite rude about moving us, even though there were no signs that we shouldn't be sitting there.
We were visiting Shrewsbury and looking for a restaurant with view of the river. This was highly rated. There was limited parking and we parked in the city center & walked across the Port Hill Suspension Bridge. The ambiance inside and outside the restaurant was lovely. The staff were very nice. We enjoyed the food and drinks.
