Our third visit to this restaurant in Shrewsbury town centre. We both had the soft shelled crab pakora from the specials board to start and the Fisherman's Stew for mains. The crab pakora was novel and very nice with light batter. Presentation was good as they had somehow managed to make it look like a crab! The fisherman's stew was tasty but wasn't really hot enough arriving at the table resulting in it being almost cold before we had finished. We had the fish stew last time and it wasn't a problem, so have resolved to ask for it extra hot next time. We then shared a cheese plate to finish. Nice meal apart from the temperature of the main course. Very friendly and professional waiter. Wine by the glass seems a tad expensive here at almost £9 ..beware!!!

We had a nice time but the food was VERY over priced for what it was. After our mains I thought one thing HUNGRY. The portion sizes were very scarce and disappointing. I only started to feel full after a dessert and even so, what you get for your money isn't worth it. I also had a voucher I could use and the manager cheekily told us we couldn't use it, after we got home we checked the terms and conditions properly and we were forced to pay £25 more than needed. Up until that point the service was good from the waiting staff, but needless to say, the management needs to have a word with itself about their dishonesty and appalling behaviour. It was mine and my partners anniversary and it put a dark cloud over the nice day we'd had.

Superb meal as always. Great selection of seafood and meat dishes. Tried Oysters for the very first time and they were fresh and delicious.

2 courses and a glass of wine for £11 per person and some of the best seafood suberbly cooked at lunch time. What a way to chill and enjoy the weekend. Many thanks, Mick
