Visited this hospital for the first time today and was really impressed. It’s a lovely place, very clean, and everyone was super friendly. But I just want to give a special mention to the ladies on reception. They seem to always get overlooked and are never mentioned in reviews but they are amazing. So friendly and helpful but also massively professional and knowledgeable. You effortlessly put people at ease in an often scary situation and for that we are extremely grateful. So a huge thank you to Nicola, Carole and Emma. You ladies totally made my day, you are a credit to the hospital!
Had my elbow operation here on 6th Jan 2024. Absolutely fantastic service !!nConsultant explained everything beforehand and came in later in day to explain what was done and how did I feel and explained after care. The ward staff were amazing and in particular one of the nurses “Kumba” she was fantastic - works so hard to make sure you have what you need and are comfortable - thank you so much. The private rooms are well equipped and would have no hesitation coming back here if needed in the future. Thank you all involved.
I recently had a stay at Blackheath Hospital, and once again, my experience was overwhelmingly positive.nnAlida, who took such great care of me last year, was there for me again, and I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Her exceptional professionalism, genuine care, and attention to detail made a world of difference. Alida consistently went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and well-looked after, just as she did during my previous visit. She truly is a shining example of what a nurse should be.nnLorna was also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a warm smile.nnDiego, the physiotherapist, was both professional and generous with his time and post surgery equipment.nnThe food was another highlight—the fresh-baked stuffed potato was especially delicious and a comforting treat during my stay. The waiter was incredibly polite and friendly.nnThe only downside was the ward itself. It was quite small, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly. Since it wasn’t possible to open the window, the room became extremely hot, which made things a bit uncomfortable.nnDespite this, the outstanding care from Alida and the rest of the staff made my experience at Blackheath Hospital a positive one once again.
The hospital is easy to find and very impressive from the outside. ALL the staff, without exception, are friendly, professional and nothing is too much trouble. The standards of cleanliness is outstanding and all public areas are kept well. The catering facilities are excellent and a good choice is offered. I cannot recommend this hospital enough if you are having private care.
