I took my son to the emergency department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The service overall was good, and the staff were professional and caring. It did take a bit of time for my son to be checked, but considering it was New Year’s Day, that’s understandable. Overall, we were satisfied with the care provided.
Changing my rating from 5 stars to 2 due to my recent experience where the front receptionist young lady treated me with disrespect and was completely arogant. Staff like this destroy a business entirely being the first line of customer services. My initial comment below was referring to the gastro staff at level 4, the rest is a joke. Also the nurses at the Diagnostic Centre at level 2 need to work on their empathy after they keep you waiting for almost 1 hour after your appointment time not considering you have been fasting for 14 hours and you need food and water. Train the staff to listen not to respond back like you offended them asking how much longer do you need to wait. There are ill people visiting a hospital that don’t need arguments, just want to be in good and active care.nnInitial comment.nnTop class hospital, looks more like a shopping centre than anything else. There are plenty of coffee shops and waiting areas. Well signaled across all floors, easy to make your way around. Seems pretty quiet too, possible due to its posh reputation. Staff here are well trained and respectful.
I would like to thank all the staff at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital for being absolutely amazing and kind nnToday 26 Feb we came to kids’ A&E with my son, who had an abscess on his leg. The doctors and nurses in both A&E and the paediatric surgery department were outstanding. They quickly identified the problem, made my son feel comfortable, and went above and beyond to minimise his stress. I have never seen an anaesthesiologists blow bubbles to entertain a child before - it was such a thoughtful and heart-warming touch. Pure professionalism, no drama - just calm, confident care.nnMy little one underwent emergency surgery to have the abscess drained and cleaned. The procedure was carried out quickly and efficiently, and we were able to go home the same day.nnA very special thank you to the lovely lady in a pink robe health play specialist I assume - I’m so sorry I didn’t ask for her name — I was very stressed at the time. She stayed with us throughout the day, making sure to find things that matched my son’s interests to keep him calm and comfortable. She even gave him a gift for being so brave — he now takes his racing car everywhere with him, so it was definitely a perfect choice! nnTHANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. You made an incredibly stressful experience so much easier for our family. We are truly grateful and hope the hospital continues to maintain such an outstanding standard of care. God bless these heroes!
From the very first moments of my labor, I felt truly cared for and supported.nnRonika and the student midwife Aryana were by my side during the first four hours of very strong, heavy contractions.nnI was literally in their arms at times, and they held me with such empathy, kindness, and patience. They were sweet, supportive, and exactly the kind of people you need during such intense and vulnerable moments. I will never forget how safe they made me feel.nnAll of the midwives during my stay were wonderful. The entire team created a calm and reassuring environment.nThe doctors and the anesthetist were also amazing. I am especially grateful to the doctor who administered the epidural so professionally, and to the doctors who acted quickly and skillfully used forceps to deliver my baby when the situation unexpectedly became high risk. Their fast response made all the difference.nnThe hospital provided everything we needed, and even the food was great. I truly felt well cared for in every way.nnMy heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their dedication, professionalism, and compassion.nnThank you,nGabriela
I attended the Paediatric Emergency Department today with my son following a school incident. I would like to thank the team for the excellent care we received. The service was very quick, the staff were kind and professional, and all the necessary assessments were completed thoroughly. The environment was clean, calm, and well organised, which made the experience much easier for us as parents. thanks the team for their care
