Outstanding care – best hospital experience I’ve had in the UKnnI cannot praise St Mary’s Hospital enough.nnAs someone who has been a regular patient across multiple hospitals in the UK, I can confidently say that this has been by far the best experience I’ve ever had.nnFrom A&E to SDEC, and through urgent imaging and X-rays, everything was handled with exceptional efficiency, professionalism, and genuine care. The staff were absolutely amazing — kind, attentive, reassuring, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every member of the team made me feel listened to and taken seriously.nnWhat really stood out was how quick and thorough everything was. I was seen promptly, investigations were arranged without delay, and the diagnosis was clear, proper, and well explained. There was no sense of being rushed or dismissed — just calm, competent, and compassionate care throughout.nnThe coordination between departments was excellent, and despite how busy the hospital is, the whole process felt organised and patient-focused.nnA huge thank you to all the doctors, nurses, radiographers, and support staff. You truly set the standard for what NHS care should look like.nAn outstanding hospital and an incredible team.
I recently spent eight days here on the Major Trauma Ward after a road accident, and the whole place had such warm, caring vibes. The staff are truly passionate about what they do, and it really shows in the way they look after you.nEven the day-to-day things made a real difference — the meals were varied, the facilities were adapted for special needs, and there was a lovely, supportive feeling among the patients.nMy heartfelt thanks to Dr Luke and to the wonderful nurses Kim, Ameera and Frederica for their kindness and care — and of course to Fred, the therapy dog.
Well except the 4 night stay in the emergency department in the corridor no less the noise was deafening and the hustle & bustle was a nightmarenBut after that I was moved to the Manvers ward where I've been countless times before where the nurses are wonderfulnThe only thing I have a problem with is are the menus what foods are listed is never available. Apparently tomorrow Tuesday the new catering company is taking over and they can't be mich worse than the one in place now
Went here as a tourist mainly to see the Lindo Wing steps where the royals step out to introduce a new baby to the public.nnBecause of construction, what should've been a straightforward shot from Paddington Station became a meandering lost walk through the piss smelling side streets and alleys, but thanks to CityMapper, we eventually found it.nnThe architecture is nice, but if you didn't know the significance of the spot, you could easily pass it without much thought.nnWhen we went, the door was partially open, so we could take a peek inside which was just a typical waiting area with seating.nnFinding our way back out was much easier since instead of bothering with the side streets, we went out to the main road and made our way back to Paddington Station a few minutes away.
Was rushed to ST Mary’s hospital after being found unresponsive outside my house and had to be resuscitated in AE and instantly taken to ICU Intensive Critical Unit, all this told after stepping down after nearly 2 weeks to Douglas Ward due to Acute organ failure.nSpending nearly one month at this ward being taken care of by incredible amazing staff from day one learning to eat, walk and slowly coming off all the tubes and machines in the end became somewhat of a veteran seeing people coming and going.nThey where there at my most vulnerable and showed kindness compassion even when dealing with other very difficult aggressive patients.nI can’t express my gratitude enough! Thank you always!
