Visited the chapel in the Mary Stanford building.nA well set out Catholic chapel with Anglican services.nA multi purpose and Muslim prayer room is provided elsewhere in the building.nThere are several war memorials at the entrance and an intriguing sign to a painting of Sir Alexander Fleming, which has been located elsewhere.nThe chapel has fine stations of the Cross and stain glass windows.nA quiet place in a busy hospital.
The staff at St Mary’s were incredibly helpful when our baby needed an appointment for physiotherapy.nnThey set up regular sessions, free of charge, of course, and made sure we were doing the exercises as instructed as an outpatient.nnIn total we visited 4 times in as many weeks and each time was a good experience. It is a testament to the doctors and nurses who tended to us and we appreciate their efforts to help.nnWould definitely recommend!
Excellent experience the staff and doctors were excellent, I was treated with a great amount of support and understanding. They were busy but highly efficient I have never been more impressed with a hospital experience before.nMy doctor was excellent and I really can't praise this hospital enough.
Horrifying experience in A&E. I was diagnosed with Hypermesis Gravidarium during my pregnancy. I was vomiting blood relentlessly in the waiting room with no food & water in over 24 hours. Nurses have a disgusting heartless attitude. There was 3 beds available right in front of me, but they claimed there was none available. Left me in a wheelchair overnight at 3.5 months pregnant. They also put me on the drip and neglected me. Blood was pouring out of my arm. After 11 hours in a wheelchair, my husband had enough and demanded a bed for me to lay down in as there were empty beds in front of me. The patient before me had pooed in that room and it needed a deep clean. The nurse lied and said that it had been deep cleaned when it hadn’t. The smell was horrendous, and as I was vomiting constantly, I could not enter the room. The room next door had been thoroughly cleaned and I requested to go into that room but was denied. I had been nothing but polite and respectful to all members of staff as I was feeling very vulnerable and did not want them to abuse me. Lastly, nurses also walked past me and other patients complaining about how “annoying” the patients were. Unbelievable experience. I was neglected tremendously. If ever you go to this hospital, please take a family friend with you, the staff is NOT to be trusted - especially some of the nurses. Be careful please.
My dad was in hospital when I phoned up to check one of the nurses on a ward did not want to talk to me about his health. She did want to talk to she only wanted to talk to my younger sister who doesn't live with us. This really effected my mental health and made me feel like I was nothing. On the I saw that they let more than one daughter talk to the nurses and doctors. I was not allowed to talk to either one of them.
