Reviews
Very nice place , excellent scenic views . Book in advance for the restaurant , it's quite small . All food freshly cooked , be prepared to wait if they're busy . Tried a choice of the starters (mains didn't appeal to me ) , excellent presentation and all very tasty . First come first served so some food wasn't available anymore . Quick bite definitely not , but a nice long relaxing meal most definitely .

Great food and service. Bit pricey.

Had an excellent lunch with a colleague here. This is a lovely old pub, full of character. The service was outstanding, food came out very quickly and to a very high standard. Lots of choice - we went for the lighter option, going for a steak and mustard sandwich, thick hand cut chips, and a sausage (Gloucester Old Spot) sandwich, all terrific. There was both a specials menu (e.g. soup of the day = lobster bisque, creme fraiche and bread) and a "Winter Menu" (e.g. bread and nibbles, sandwiches, hand made pizzas, traditional pub food - pies etc), with some good vegetarian dishes, too. Choice of beer and wine excellent, I had a very nice (relatively mild) IPA. Will definitely come back to this place - so rare to find a pub that does everything right.
