Popped in for carvery on a sunny sumer Sunday afternoon. Choice of 4 meats, plenty of sides. Friendly service. Nice desserts too. Beer garden Pool table and darts. Parking: Parking out the front or there is a free carpark opposite

Had the carvery on Sunday, lovely meal, well cooked and plenty of choice, we were well looked after by the staff, who were all very good. Couldn't fault it, definitely deserves 5 stars, thank you for a very pleasant afternoon and a great roast dinner.Recommended dishes
Lovely carvery, plenty of food to choose from, all beautifully cooked. Puddings were lovely as well. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Parking: Parking out front
Visited for a mother's day meal as a table of 8. Carvery food was luke warm at best so was very disappointed with the food. One of our party hadn't even finished their main course when we were asked what desert we wanted. After ordering desert, we were then told by another member of staff "I don't know if you were told when you arrived but we require your table at 2.30pm for another booking". Our booking was for 1pm and once we had ordered carvery at the bar, we were told that we would be called up when it's our turn. I appreciate it would be busier due to being mother's day but it seems they had taken on more bookings than they could cater for which isn't our problem. Certainly won't be returning.
5* Had a wonderful lunch at the Beresford today. Excellent service and fabulous food. The home made pies are packed with quality meat, and the desserts are scrummy. Thank you. Food: 5/5
Having waited for Beresford to reopen we decided to give lunch a try. No menus readily available, which would have made food selection easier. They opened at 12 and we were booked in for 12.30 and already various items not available. Cottage pie was offered with salad or veg and we chose veg but it came served with salad and only veg available peas or chips. Scampi was nice, pie was ok. No gravy offered or brought with food. More drinks ordered but then they were forgotten about. Deserts nothing special. Very disappointing
Super friendly service. We had the carvery on a Sunday at 12noon. Everything tasted great and fresh. Reasonably priced too. I'd recommend booking a table Parking: Own car park right outside the door
