Story

The Ben Nevis is a unique and contemporary Scottish bar situated at 1147 Argyll Street. The Ben Nevis is one of Glasgow’s best-kept secrets. Open in its present incarnation since 1999, it has become renowned on the Scottish traditional music scene for its regular and spontaneous sessions, uniquely Scottish design, great whisky, craft beers from West Brewery, traditional Ales, and a truly welcoming atmosphere.
The Ben Nevis is all anybody needs in a pub, whether you want to chill in the afternoon with a good book and a pint, or you want a full-on kicking tune at night, they can provide it. So don’t be shy, get yourself along to the Ben and say hello. Sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, 9pm onwards. Telephone: 0141 576 5204.

Came between lockdowns and staff were really attentive during table service and had memorised all the lagers on offer. They also helped me find the perfect whiskey for something like £5 or £7.
Nice place with all sorts of whisky. When I was there musicians dropped in all evening and played together. The bar was full but the female bartender gave you service within seconds. Above expectations.
Lovely atmosphere. Drinks priced fairly. Service excellent. Social distancing outstanding. They've got it right. Will be back soon x
A fantastic bar. I wish I lived in a country that the college aged bartenders are encyclopedias on all things whiskey. Every suggestion was a 10/10. Great vibe and lots of energy. The bottles that you can't get elsewhere were ridiculous.
Staff and customers adhered to the safety and social distancing measures in place. It still has the same charm as it had pre-pandemic, but unfortunately the atmosphere takes a hit with such a reduced capacity. Still has an excellent selection of beers and whiskies.
Great staff, all H&S in place, social distancing well organised. Service exceptional and will definitely be returning soon.

Overpriced and overrated with obnoxious staff. Much better bars nearby. Avoid.
