Great for pre gig food and drink if you're headed to the Hydro, would highly recommend this place! The food was perfect and no awkward waiting times, drinks are a touch expensive but I suppose you get what you pay for!
Huge portions of good food. Reasonably friendly staff. Good selection of beer. Nice music selection.
I came here on a recommendation from a bartender at the Ben Nevis. It's one of the few places in town that makes a decent Pisco Sour. It also recently won rum bar of the year. The menu is divided into rum and not rum. I look forward to going back and sampling a few.
Good choice of rums, average prices. Haven't eaten here for a while so can't comment on the food. The place is fine as a stopover on a drinking crawl but not for stopping at beyond a couple of drinks IMHO. **Post script: pub's up for sale and currently vacant.**
Food was good and not overly expensive. Only being able to order 2/3 of a pint on beers usually served in pints was annoying though. Especially as the drink pricing was pretty steep. Lacked much atmosphere when we were in but the staff were good.
Great food and friendly staff, can be busy at times especially when there's a hydro gig on. Disappointingly they now only sell 2/3 of a pint schooners and have decided not to sell pints.
