Was out for an afternoon drink in Glasgow - not the norm for me. Tried a couple of pubs close by, which were very busy and not welcoming. Went into this place and it was rammed, but the staff were so helpful and allowed us to sit in the reserved seating area. There was a big sports match on the telly and it seemed everyone else was in there to watch that. The atmosphere was buzzing and when the game finished, the Glasgow team had won, causing spontaneous singing to erupt. Even though we had no clue as to what was happening, it was fantastic and so friendly. We had some pub grub that was decent and reasonably priced. A good selection of beers, wines and spirits; being in the heart of Glasgow, a great selection of malt whisky. Prices were as expected. The staff were amazing and helpful. This has to be the best pub in Glasgow and, therefore, obviously the best pub in the world. Very dog friendly too.
Stopped in here for some lunch and a couple of drinks before heading to a comedy gig. Place had a nice vibe, food and drinks reasonably priced. We both had the classic burger and trippled cooked chips, both were delicious, would highly recommend. Food: 5/5
Decided I couldn’t be bothered cooking on a Saturday early evening so went to this pub. It’s local to me and I have been before. We ordered a pint and a large glass of wine. I had the board dog and my wife had the chicken nachos. Service is great and very quick. Food is tasty, served hot and great value for money. It’s straightforward pub grub with a twists and a good price. Total bill was £37 I think.
Nice pub for area .bigger than it looks .Good food deals and a great selection of drinks. Did not try food on this visitService: 5/5
New menu on. I opted for the "Guinness Steak Pie". I asked for mash but there was none so had the chips. Those chips were so dry, they had all the flavour and fluff sucked out of them. Tried to dip them in the pie sauce but under the vanity disc of pastry there was little sauce to dip. The meat was tasty and tender but once again devoid of moisture. If it wasn't for the peas I'd be convinced I was on Arrakis - and you don't wanna know about the p's there!
About one week ago, I ordered a curry chicken taco if my remember is correct, the price was pretty reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I love this place and will definitely recommend it to all the visitors in Glasgow.Food: 5/5
Family friendly, dog friendly, and a good spacious place to meet up with friends or watch some sport. Good variety of smaller and bar snacks and main meals Vegetarian options: Small menu, but still a decent selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Kid-friendliness: Under 18s allowed until 8pm. Kids menu and baby changing facilities available.
Had a wonderful night at the Sunday folk session. Lovely people, beautiful music and singing, warm atmosphere. Should you be around on a Sunday, join them from 19:30 for a unique local Scottish experience.Food: 5/5
