Went here 2 times while working at the SEC. Great Guinness and an all round good vibes for the place. Came back the next day to try out some food and it was Fantastic. Had wings with maple and cornflakes, the beef croquettes were spot on but the stand out dish for me were the sweetcorn ribs! If I'm in Glasgow again I will be definitely visiting
Great food, slow service but great atmosphere. Had to wait a bit for our table which we booked and ended up being put into quite a squeeze of a high table which was tricky for me as I have a back issue. The lad who served us was lovely but was slow to serve and take our dishes away. Decent food but pretty sure it gave us both a bad tummy. Amazing atmosphere and cocktails. So a mixed visit but we would go again. Also decent price and we were shocked it was so reasonable at the end.
We accidentally booked on the night of a local concert so when we arrived the place was absolutely packed. The waitress explained that it would calm down within the hour so we sat and had a couple of cocktails before we ordered food. The staff were really understanding when we said we’d like to wait for the place to quiet down before we ordered food etc. The food itself was incredible, I had the Beef Shin Croquettes and the Pure Gallus and the burger was one of the best chicken burgers I’ve ever had. My partner had the Three Cheese Mac and Salt and Pepper chicken burger which was incredible. The Lyche Mezcal Marg maybe the best cocktail I’ve ever had. I even had to ask the bar staff for instructions on how to make it! Great place, great food, great people and an amazing atmosphere. Thanks for having us!
Booked this place at random based on the proximity to the arena, and thought it'd be a good idea to get a meal in before Blink-182. Food was really lovely. Great portion size, well cooked beef, really juicy and delicious burger. The music in this place was amazing if you're a elder millenial emo like me and my mate! We heard Paramore, Sum 41, Blink-182, Fallout Boy, Panic! At The Disco etc. on the playlist and the music was so great it was distracting me from picking what I wanted off the menu We were served by Hope who was lovely and attentive and delivered absolutely excellent customer service. I will hopefully come back some day, just a shame the place is 300 miles away from my home!
Overall an amazing experience. I travel for work and always want to check out local spots. The service was amazing and fast, especially the female manager working on Saturday night. I loved the food as well. However, maybe the music could be a little less loud. Otherwise 9.9/10.Food: 5/5
We were very tired from driving all day, and this was the perfect, super friendly, great food, and great atmosphere place we could have ended up in. Loved all the food and excellent service.Food: 5/5
The Motherclucker. I like my loaded fries with not too much sauce. This was too much so all the fries were soggy. Really spicy which I didn't expect. Nice though.Food: 4/5
I will admit when I looked at the menu I was a bit dubious due to the price of the burgers, but, after ordering I can confirm it was 100% worth every penny!! Super delicious food and very friendly staff. Only downside was that the bar itself was a little cold but that could also be due to the fact I had got caught in torrential rain while walking there ‍ Other note is that the bar was decently packed so maybe if you’re bringing a few folk call ahead if you’re going at a busy period. Would definitely go here again and highly recommend it.
Over for a concert, popped in on the off chance they had a table and wow. They say whats meant to be, will be and we're now so upset we don't live closer. Staff were amazing good flavours, presentation and portion sizes and amazing value for moneyFood: 5/5
Great atmospheric bar with excellent food and drink. Good stop off of you are visiting the Ovo Hydro before or after a concert.Food: 5/5
