Decided to have my father’s 60th birthday here! Location is great, food was fantastic, service was awful. Felt as if a bunch of teenagers are running the place!nnWe’d booked the venue a few months in advanced and when I requested plates, glasses and knives and forks we were told they didn’t have enough for the 55 people we had invited. Being a pub I’d assume that they would have these amenities at hand, especially as they advertise it being a location for “hire”.nnI was annoyed that the manager then told me he’d had no idea about the party as he’d just got back from his holiday, was completely unprofessional with his comments and was in his first week as role of manager how he got the job, I don’t know. I requested the general manager on the night, she was very professional and helpful when I gave her feedback at the end of the night.nnIt’s a shame they couldn’t hold up on their end as it caused a lot of stress and running about but the location and food are great and can’t be faulted. Some additional training and development is needed for the staff members that are already there- as well as better communication in general. Do better next time Beehive!
Nice atmosphere with great outside area.nIdeal for a or few of them for their great selection.nA great and a must try to the delicious food menu that the pub offers - especially to the most delicious steak I have tried lately!nThank you guys for this amazing experience, and I look forward tp backnCheers
Booked the large function roomno charge! for a pub quiz for my local choir. From first contact till end of last night the staff were great. Everything was explained, all questions answered, all requests met with immediate friendly response from a variety of staff members. We had a great time and will return...
A pub full of ambiance with 2 bars with a large paved outdoor garden. Friendy bar staff under new ownership for over a year. Loved the guest beer but disappointed with the chicken wings which were greasy and burnt. Complained to the waitress who suggested another alternative so took the fish and chips. Enjoyed the fish and unusually prepared mushy peas both of which I enjoyed. The hand made chips were bit oily.nA place for watching sports with a wide selection of ales. There is no disabled toilet as far as I am aware. Parking facilities are nearby.nA unique pub that has improved over the years since 2001, a must visit for any Tottonian.
I’ve been here a couple of times with a friend who lives nearby and this time we popped in for dinner and a drink. It was a Thursday night and not as crowded as I imagined it would be, especially this close to Christmas. Inside they have a cosy fire but we settled for two seats elsewhere as the tables by it were hot property!nnThe menu feels pretty typical of standard pub fare. I went for the bangers and mash which was decent but would have been better with a portion of veg. My friend went for the turkey dinner special which was pretty hefty and looked great.nnStaff weren’t necessarily friendly or welcoming, and they brusquely shook off a request for a drink my friend requested - something called a Snowball.nnI imagine in summer it’s a lovely buzzy place to hang out as their garden seems spacious.
