Very pleasant atmosphere and good food Roast for reasonable price in London ! Nice service from Dory.
After a morning spent painting rails under the unrelenting 24°C heat at Victoria Park for a company CSR day, I found myself in need of serious sustenance. Lucky for us, we stumbled upon a charming pub just off the main road, boasting a sprawling beer garden that seamlessly backs onto the lush greenery of the park.nnPressed for time, I opted for a classic choice: ‘The People’s Burger & Rosemary Salt Fries.’ Service was impressively swift, but the real star was the meal itself. The burger, with its thick, juicy 8oz patty, was nothing short of sublime. The crisp lettuce and vibrant tomato added a refreshing crunch, perfectly complementing the richness of the beef. And then, there were the fries – rosemary salt fries to be exact. Each bite delivered an ideal balance of crunchy exterior and pillowy, soft interior, with just the right hit of fragrant rosemary salt. A truly delightful pairing.nnTo wash it all down, the pub offers a respectable range of lagers, beers, and pale ales on tap, sure to satisfy any palate. Inside, a handful of arcade machines offer a nostalgic touch, perfect for entertaining the kids. All in all, it’s a solid spot to grab a bite if you find yourself in the area.
This burger is £24.75. Jesus Christ! For that money, as a minimum, at least a cup of coffee after I get screwed.nnThe truth is pretty simple. The place is insanely well located. It's popular due to it's location so they don't have to try or care. It's why we are here. Because of that, the food doesn't matter, they are always full and people will keep coming back.nnThe food, meh at best. For the money, I'd avoid harder than the plague. And this is based on a few experiences see location above, sadly, by now I think I have Stockholm syndrome.nnBeers are pretty good decent selection. Pretty standard price for London and the bar stuff move quick enough.nnSummary. If you want a place where you can also eat. Avoid harder than a Boris party at number 10. If all you want is drinks and a great setting, the place is acennEDIT: added screenshot of the price post response. Thank you for responding
I recently attended an event at this venue, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The garden area is truly the highlight, offering a lush, beautifully landscaped space that creates an inviting atmosphere.nThe vibes were fantastic. The layout encouraged mingling, and the ambiance was enhanced by soft lighting.nChelsea, our host, was exceptional. Her warm demeanor and attention to detail made everyone feel welcomed and at ease. She was attentive without being intrusive, always ready with a smile or a helpful suggestion, creating a memorable experience was evident, and she went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly.nOverall, this venue, with its stunning garden and welcoming atmosphere, paired with Chelsea’s outstanding hospitality, makes for a perfect choice for any gathering. I can’t wait to return!
Had a get together with friends to watch the Sunday blues and I had the roast beef. The beef was not over cooked and was just perfect. The vegetables were wonderful and the Yorkshire pudding was crispy outside and soft inside.nnAbsolutely beautiful!nnCan recommend this to everyone
