My first time visiting and on a Sunday. The large roast was delicious with an added Yorkshire pudding. My partner had the half roast chicken and she said it was perfect. Excellent service, food came out fast. Lovely view of the Wrekin from the garden. We will definitley be coming back..
Thank you to the whole team for an amazing lunch party last weekend. The food was great, the service impeccable and we felt very welcome and looked after beautifully throughout the afternoon. Thank you for going the extra mile, several times over! We'll definitely be back :
Fantastic food - Sunday lunch for four. Just couldn't have cooked it better myself and the staff were so helpful. Descent atmosphere - a kind of country kitchen decor with bare wood floorboards. Plenty of parking as there is a large private car park the other side of the main road making everything easy for the designated driver.
New to the area and my partner and myself are trying out the local eateries. The Last Inn ticks so many boxes - firstly of all the staff were super friendly and welcoming, the place was beautiful and cosy inside, and the food… our food was damn tasty. I ordered the southern fried burger and messy fries, a solid 7.5/10 fries probably need some melted cheese to gain an extra few points . So yeah, very impressed with it all, we will be back. Thanks.
Impromptu Sunday lunch. Phoned for a table on the off chance and they fitted us in, no problem. Warm welcome on arrival. Busy but not chaotic. Roast beef was excellent. Good service, good food. Will be back Food: 5/5
Food was nice enough but not really warm. Waitress tried to take the drinks order before we even got to the table to take out coats of. Was a whole list of food not available. Drinks order was wrong and items were missing. Then waited nearly an hour before our food order was even taken. Had to be remedied of our side orders because it didn’t come. Then waited a long time for plates to be cleared and dessert order taken. Another 40 minutes. Dessert order taken then came back and said they didn’t have what we’re ordered. My friend chose something else but I decided not to have a dessert in the end. The waitress said she’d take it off the bill. It never was taken off the bill so this has to be sorted it. It was just hours of waiting around, having to ask the staff to take our order, had to tell them what should and should not be on bill. They didn’t seem To have a clue. Not worth the hassle.
Wow! What an amazing place, the food was unbelievable, beer nice and cold and cracking wine selection, will be making a special trip back to here
Seated quickly and drinks offered, had to ask for more time to choose from menu, meal was good and wholesome, had to remind them for the extra drinks we had ordered during our meal, some dessert choices were unavailable but this wasn't a problem for us. Reasonably priced Parking was on opposite side of the busy road
Really disappointed in todays Sunday Roast, previous visits have always been great however today not only did it take over an hour for our main to arrive, when it did i counted 4 green beans, 1 broccoli floret, 2 roast potatoes, 1 carrot, 1 parsnip. I was asked if I’d like a yorkie with my pork only to then see it charged at £2.50 on the receipt. Not sure if it was off day but for the money we paid today it was scandalous. Dessert was lovely but not worth the visit.
I love this place, its a drive out for us as we live about 15 miles away, the cocktails are well made, food is delightful and there's often live music, it makes for such a lovely evening. The staff are friendly, it is such a relaxed dining experience.Food: 5/5
