I photographed a wedding here and I had a fantastic day! The staff and owner were so welcoming and accommodating. It was in the middle of a heatwave and they ensured I had plenty of drinks and the food was outstanding! The service was brilliant and they were all so helpful. We had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Food was fab and great price. Breakfast was lovely. The room was nice, clean and comfortable but it's all looking a bit tired in places and needs some love and attention.Rooms: 4/5
Outstanding stay here, we had the bridal suite with the jacuzzi you have to try this the room is very spacious and very clean. At night you can just hear the motorway with the window "open" so a decent sleep is guaranteed. The breakfast was very filling and the woman serving was extremely polite and helpful. 10/10Rooms: 5/5

What a wonderful venue The Old Barn is. Friends and I went for a mid week meal. Decided on the " Early Bird" option. Wow , it was beautiful. The food,service, and our surroundings first class. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed, gentle music playing in the background. We hadn't been before,but we will absolutely be going again in the near future. Thank you, Old Barn, for making our evening even better. Adam, the young man who served our table,was lovely. Very polite ,friendly, and helpful. Definitely 5 stars in our book.
Lovely little haven off the beaten track. Friendly staff, cosy restaurant and huge rooms. The restaurant is small and cosy, with a good choice of food. The room we stayed in was a very good size and the bed was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was very well equipped and a good size with a large walk in shower. The hotel is very quiet, even though it is close to the motorway. This hotel is ideal if you're wanting a quiet stay, it is a little way from the centre. There is a bus that runs at the end of the road. Breakfast is cooked fresh and you have to order this when you sit down at your table in the morning. Rooms: Very large and comfortable Food & drinks: All freshly cooked and lovely
I was only there for a family event and not the hotel, but the staff here are extremely friendly and very well organised. A great location with views of the countryside from the outdoor seating areas, also plenty of places to sit for I would imagine meals and just casual drinks. I would definitely recommend this for family events in the future. Food & drinks: Prices seem very good compared to other locations in the area.
Beautiful inn with quaint atmosphere that is cosy. The food is fantastic great flavours, ample portion sizes and really good prices. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The location is easy to get to and handy for Newport, Caerleon and the surrounding area whilst not being in a busy town. The only downside we found during our 3 night stay was that the floor between the upper and lower rooms is very thin so it sounds like a heard of elephants moving around overhead. Of the 3 nights, 2 had interrupted sleep.
Lovely atmosphere, very Christmassy. Food really tasty and good value. Steak wasn't cooked right first time but properly dealt with by staff who were excellent.Rooms: 5/5
Well we came for food, what an absolute waste of money it was. Brown lettuce and soft wrinkled tomatoes, if they weren't enough the pate was as bland, the burger was dry the pie crust was soft. The chips where delicious and the only thing worth eating. If all that isn't wnough to put you off your food I think the lack of service was shocking and when I made a Complaint no one took it seriously. Good job I tried the food before arranging for friends to stay the dust and dirt was awful where we were sat, I will never darken your door again being worse than wearherspoons is saying something. Food & drinks: Awful
