Lovely experience Originally, there was about a 45 minute wait on, but we had our food within 30 minutes. At first my food was tepid but they corrected it immediately. The food was then delicious and good for value. My OH food was great, hot and a huge portion! Just how he likes it. Will visit again when I'm next in the area. Thank you
I came to visit for the 2nd time in a week as the first visit was very good with a friendly and welcoming waitress. The second visit was not as good. The waitress seemed to have a problem with everything we asked for, so different from the fist visit. Things were not up to the same standard as per the previous visit or to our visit to the sister restaurant in Spytty park. It’s a shame that things can go so downhill after a great first visit. The chips were cold as was the service. What a shame. Really made the meal very uncomfortable.
Unfortunately our visit wasn't great. The lady who managed to get us a seat as it was busy was lovely, as was our waitress. The food was what let it down for us. My partner asked for his steak to be medium, it came out really well done. His chicken was black on one side due to being left on the grill.so it was charcoal on one side!! My ribs were OK but just that,OK. The coleslaw has changed to "asian" coleslaw which wasn't stated on the menu. It was dry and seemed to me to be the dregs of the salad. Not like the coleslaw we expected. I only wanted a squash to drink but it was £3. Quite pricey as i only had one. So we left it. No one asked how our meal was during our stay and we just felt like it was alot of money for not a great meal. Won't be going back there unfortunately
Returned 5 weeks later my wife and myself. Both had sirloin steaks medium and medium rear. Both cooked as requested. Frendly attentive staff . Birthday offer so only paid for one steak . Very good offer. Will now download app for myself. Family meal midday . Five people all pleased with their meals . Very polite waitress. Meals came at the ŕight time we had finished the salad bar thing. Desserts were large and well presented. With drinks about £20 a head will return. Parking: Register car reg on entry to restaurant!!.
I feel the need to feedback on my experience today. I am quite a regular visitor to the Harvester chain, but I am not convinced this will continue after today. We booked at quite short notice and was grateful we managed to get a table at your restaurant. We arrived to be told there was no pasta on the salad cart and then no rotisserie chicken. When being shown to our table, we were then told the air con was not working, which as you can imagine on a day like today, didn’t make for the most comfortable experience. On visiting the salad bar, we noticed there was also no pineapple or beetroot, not sure if this was just today or they have been withdrawn. The overall choice on the salad cart was minimal to say the least. On a plus, the food that we did order was quite enjoyable but due to the extreme heat and myself and my family feeling quite uncomfortable, we were all unable to finish our meals. It seemed to be no further bookings being taken and everyone seemed in quite a rush for us to leave as we were given the bill and payment taken all within 10 seconds. On leaving, no one acknowledged us and there was no ‘thank you, goodbye.’ All in all a very disappointing visit and wished i stayed at home. i would appreciate your feedback. thank you

We booked a table for the same day which was great however when we sat down to our table and chose food some of what we wanted was unavailable all chicken dishes unavailable as it wasn’t ready which was disappointing. We continued to order another choice… the food came out quickly and it was hot however it wasn’t the best meal we have had. The lady who served us was lovely however a few comments had been overheard by other members of staff in which our child picked up the word ‘shut up’ which insinuated an issue with another member of staff or talking about customers. If I’m honest, I won’t be retuning to this restaurant nor will it be recommended to any friends or family.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Much better than other nearby harvester restaurants. Even checked if our steaks were cooked ok, the one was not so it was done again and had fresh chips and sides. Highly recommended
Quite a few things we like were not available but staff made this clear straight away. We both had a sirloin which was lovely. Staff very welcoming and polite. Overall a good visit. Thankyou to the lady who served us, she was very good.
After a short break from Harvester reviews I am back,and I had to start with the Harvester I had missed it the most "The Borderer". Once again the food was fabulous. I ordered a build your own breakfast and everything was cooked as I would like to eat it, in fact it was perfect,thank you Chef! Sadly I was sat on a different table this time and was not served by the girl of my dreams "storey of my life" but as all the staff here are very friendly,polite and caring I was treated as I would like to be treated as a guest and a friend. Thank you "borderer" I will return and become a reguler. As I have missed this venue so much, it has to go to my top spot and my Harvester of choice in south wales so far. See you soon. What a fabulous restauraunt in a fabulous location. This is my fourth review of a Harvester in the south Wales area and the best so far. I would not be surprised if this Harvester is classed as a flagship for Harvester as it is an incredible venue, I have to give a special mention to the woman "Clair" that served me, she is in a class of her own and should be commended by harvester and given a pay rise for her customer care skills alone, she has buckets and buckets of it. I think she maybe a woman of my dreams, she certainly looked after me. Five star is not enough for this venue! Google maps this venue needs a special extra star.
