A fantastic range of all different types of gin to suit every palette and a very helpful lady behind the bar making suggestions as to what you'd like. She really knows her stuff! Great place with a lovely atmosphere.
Used to be only pub open on New Year's Day in Woodbridge so go to place for my birthday. Thanks Chris for continuing to put up with us every year. Good selection of beers and 200+ gins.

Lovely traditional pub that is full of character complete with real wood burning fire. Charismatic staff who are very welcoming and helpful with choices of beverage. Great variety of ales, including it's own brew and a fantastic choice of over 100 gins, which are all paired perfectly with garnish and mixer. Definitely aa gem within Woodbridge and look forward to my next visit.
Loved the pub and selection of drinks, but the atmosphere of the beer garden was spoiled by the overwhelming smell of weed. A young lad was smoking the biggest joint I’ve seen in years….
We are new to the area and recently discovered the Angel. They offer a very good selection of ales and lager beers from draught, but their specialty must be their gin & tonics. The lady who served us was very enthusiastic about the selection of gins and tonics, and made some excellent recommendations based on our taste. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the week after. We were welcomed back and the staff remembered what drinks we had during our previous visit. That is a level of service that I do not experience often. Recommended!

Amazing selection of gins but tired interior with a slightly depressing feel.
This is a great boozer. Friendly staff, good range of beer, excellent service, I understand they also have gin. COVID safety well managed with nice outdoor space. Location up the hill makes it easy to roll back down after a few.
Quite for a Friday night and log fire had one log on it smouldering almost out! Eventually another one log added!! By the time we left it was getting busier as there was a musician singing later on.
