This is my favorite place in London. The walk from the station to the museum is also nice. There are various modern art pieces on display, but it is not busy and it is good to enjoy the works leisurely. There are many works that give me a lot of insight into the modern era. In addition to the art pieces, the cafes at the top and in the middle are all nice, and the Thames River seen from the museum is also very pretty. It is a great place to enjoy the works while contemplating alone rather than with others.
Visiting Tate Modern is an unforgettable experience. The building itself, a massive former power station, is impressive and unlike any other museum. Inside, you’re greeted with a vast collection of abstract and modern art that feels both bold and captivating. From Picasso to Warhol, the variety is amazing, and even if you’re not a modern art expert, there’s something intriguing for everyone.nnThe standard collections are free to explore, so you can spend hours wandering through the galleries without worrying about a ticket. The space is open and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed afternoon soaking in creativity. Plus, the views of the Thames from the upper floors are a nice bonus!
One of the world's great museums of art. Very easy to get around, helpful staff... most of the exhibits are free. Lovely to see classic modern art masterpieces, while surrounded by an incredible and ever changing contemporary art exhibitions. A must see while in London, and worth returning to if times has passed since your last visit.
This is a world class art museum with amazing gallery options and exhibits. Though entrance overall is free, some galleries require a fee. Many masters are represented in the modern collection and contemporary art is featured in other areas. To fully enjoy plan half a day as it is huge. There's a nice Plaza in the front on the river with food vendors. This museum also has installations to engage children and youngsters. So much open space that it gives the art displayed beautiful aesthetic placement
Anthony McCall-Exhibition was fantastic. Also the rest of the Gallery is great. Bought tickets the day before and went round 12:30 pm. At that time there was no queue. When we left there was a small one on the Thames-side entry. If You’re between 16-25 you can get to all exhibitions for 5€, just register.
