Brutalist exterior, minimally elegant interior - perfect for showing contemporary art and photography. The galleries upstairs have lots of softly diffused natural light. All the staff are friendly, helpful and very smiley! There's a cafe offering lovely teas and yummy cakes, though it is quite small. Remember to book your tickets online for the popular shows.

Really nice spacious layout with a lot of room to view the photography from Gursky's exhibit. I'm not much of an art connoisseur but I felt like was able to take in what was on offer at the Hayward gallery. A lot will depend on what is on show but there is enough light, space and atmosphere for you to fully appreciate what ever it is you are viewing.

Light and airy refurbished art gallery. The Gursky exhibition was very well managed with plenty of space and not over-crowded. Small gift shop.

Open again after a long refurbishment. Beautiful space with plenty of emphasis on the original concrete features. The Gursky exhibition was fantastic. Solid cafe upstairs too.

Lovely space for exhibitions, featuring multilayered areas, and separated spaces for the different art works and. Installations. Good facilities including toilets and a cloakroom. Great area on the Southbank of the Thames, lots of restaurants and bars nearby for before or after.
