The National Gallery Shop, as would be expected, is beautifully laid out. There is a huge variety of art related merchandise on offer. There's everything from postcards to Christmas baubles to journals and a small selection of art supplies. The major offering is a fantastic variety of art related books. One can find simple children's books, artist biographies, art technique books, art history, colouring books and much much more. The only reason for deducting one star is, as might be expected, some of the prices are rather inflated.

After such an inspiring walk around the galleries you can't help but feel a little let down by the blandness of the shop. Lots of tacky things where we should be letting people take home quality replications of many of the works in order to keep the conversation going about these amazing paintings.

Amazing collection of works. So many works you see from art history books are here. Definitely need to spend a few days to truly appreciate all the works. Highly recommend the audio guide and do the highlight tour if you only have a few hours.
