I love the retro theme and old-fashioned look of Syd’s pub. It’s a huge contrast to some of the pubs in Kilkenny that go for a more contemporary and modern look. Great atmosphere and music. The bar staff were fantastic and the prices of the drinks were all reasonable. Fantastic location too!

reputed to be the oldest working pub in Ireland. Meaning it has been functioning as a PUB since it was first licensed in the 1600's some time. You gotta respect that! Also great old style everything... loved it.

So we just wandered in here on a recent adventure in kilkenny. It's giving a real gaa atmosphere! My husband and I were made to feel so welcome, we'll have to come back on a match day!Food: 4/5

Love this bar! Staff are so proficient and friendly. Special mention to Tom, he’s fantastic! So friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Great Pub in the center of the city. We rocked up on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowded. Service is quick and the Guinness is excellent.

Great traditional pub. Very engaging staff and a place you want to go back to.
