During my pregnancy King’s College Hospital’s clinicians were looking after me and my baby very caring. I was offered to have extra scans due to the smallness of the baby and CTGs.nnAlso, my labour was inducted here in the labour ward. Doctors, Midwives and Nurses are extremely supportive! My labour was with midwife Amy and student midwife Milly and I can’t thank them enough!nnPostpartum care was very good as well!nBreastfeeding advisors are amazing!nnThanks to student midwife Rose and all midwives! They truly want to help and they will definitely support you whenever it’s needed!
I have been here since 29/08 in the golden jubilee. the care has been excellent from everyone. All the doctors, nurses, cleaners, here have taken good care of me. They have treated me with respect and kindness. I've genuinely felt like I'm in a private hospital. Im extremely happy with the service and I thank everyone who took care of me here.
I received an appointment letter that was very misleading. It displayed an appointment time 1:15AM which I reasonably mistook to be 1:15PM, and in small print, said not to attend. Relying on the appointment letter, I took time off work and went to the clinic, only to be told the letter was invalid. This caused avoidable stress and wasted time. Thankfully your receptionist, Emma Smith, stepped in. She gave up her lunch break and arranged a weekend appointment so I wouldn’t miss more work. Her kindness, professionalism, and problem-solving made a huge difference and I am very grateful!
I wanted to share my experience during my recent visit to the hospital, we arrived at reception around 10 pm with concerning symptoms , early pregnancy contractions, we couldn’t hear the staff member as the microphone wasn’t working. He simply said there was nothing he could do and refused to speak louder, which was frustrating, I felt like my concerns weren’t taken seriously. Sadly, some of the staff also came across as quite dismissive. A bit more kindness and clear communication would have made a difference.nnI asked twice for a blanket as I was feeling very cold and faint, but unfortunately, no one responded. I was then sent to another unit EAU, where I had to sit on a chair even though I had explained that I was in severe discomfort due to my abdominal pain and exhaustion. What surprised me the most was that the hospital was very quiet that night, with no obvious crowd or busyness, yet I felt completely overlooked.nnI remained there all night without much attention or updates. In the morning, a nurse simply told me I could go home. Initially, they mentioned prescribing antibiotics, but then changed their minds without much explanation.nnI left feeling dismissed, unsupported, and disappointed by the lack of compassion during what was a very frightening time for me. I hope sharing this experience encourages the hospital to reflect on how vulnerable patients are treated, especially during late hours when they may already feel scared and alone.
Our daughter was admitted to Kings College emergency room for severe abdominal pains. We dropped what we were doing and immediately flew to London from San Francisco to be with her. I couldn't have been more impressed with the treatment, professionalism of their staff/doctors and facility. She was in great care at Kings College with friendly staff attentive to her needs. We are so grateful she went to Kings College for treatment. Our experience was equal to or better than the hospital she has experienced in the San Francisco Bay Area.
