Lovely family Sunday Lunch here. Staff attentive and friendly. It was very quiet, which we found surprising given the quality of the food. I had the vegan Sunday Roast, rest of our party had Lamb Roast and suet pie. Kids had pasta, one with meatballs, one without. All plates cleared! Puddings were delicious too. I had the vegan brownie. The sticky toffee pudding looked incredible as did the banoffee cheesecake. Decent parking, nice atmosphere. Box of colouring stuff for kids to keep them occupied.
Fabulous evening meal, onion rings were amazing... lovely relaxing place. Penny was so friendly and welcoming. 1st time we've been to this part .. Will definitely be returning.
Lovely pub with ample parking in an easy to find location. The food was great and reasonably priced - especially loved the onion rings!
Free parking near the hotel. Beautiful building.!! We stay one night. Staff are very friendly and down the room is pub! Very nice break fast. Just back of the hotel direct you way to go OLD MAN. It was bit aged hotel so hotel room bathroom was aged. Overall great fantastic view from the hotel room!
What can I say. Went in on the off chance of getting some food on the way back home. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Food was amazing if your passing or in the kendal Windermere area it’s well worth a small detour. would highly recommend the steak.
Cozy country pub by the road with excellent rustic food with reasonable prices. Generous portions! Friendly and helpful personnel. Ok beer selection with nice local ales, excellent Gin selection. Plenty of parking.
What a fantastic place. The landlady is so lovely, warm and friendly. There is a doggy basket with blankets for the dogs to sit on the floor is wooden and there are doggy snacks and even a doggy menu. We ate there and the food was SO good. Hubby had the veggie pie, I had the fish and chips. Lovely large portions and tasted great. The sticky toffee was amazing. I wanted a Calypso coffee but they ran out of Tia Maria and the lovely landlady made me a coffee with the cream without the booze, a lovely gesture. They also have a big carpark, that you can stay in over night if you have a camper van. It is sloped up but flat once you get in there. Cannot recommend this place enough.
A perfect place to eat and chill! Located in the quiet countryside with ample and easy parking this pub/restaurant is definitely recommended. The service is friendly and very efficient, the menu choices are also very good and the food is amazing. Generous portions at a reasonable price. Lovely calm and quiet environment with tables outside if you wish. Visited twice in one week while on holiday and experienced the same excellence on both occasions. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our two meals.
Excellent place EXCELLENT FOOD came here today and yesterday had fish and chips fish is bigger than it looks on pictures crispy and succulent and today beef ale suet pudding great pastry and full filling absolutely GREAT friendly staff polite good information on food choice and don't wait long and homemade meals as well can't fault 5 STAR thank you mart and shell
First time visit to a pub i have been past serval times. Only called in for a drink but the welcome was good. Looking round the pub while sittting enjoying my beer you find there are live music nights at the end of the month Food specials on certain days Might be a good idea to book your table in advance Seating on a terrace outside is available
