Very quick service and big servings. We ordered one doner platter and a salad for two and, with complimentary bread on top of it, it was more than enough.Food: 5/5
One of the best Turkish food experience you would ever had! With a lovely atmosphere & pleasant staff to look after you! Reasonable prices, Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Many Salads hot & cold for vegetarians with Ayran yogurt Drink for healthy option
Honestly speaking….the BEST Turkish restaurant in London! The bread is soft & seasoned really well, it become addictive! Lamb chops Ribs Shawarma Sultan Sofrasi is known for its authentic Turkish cuisine, offering a variety of flavorful dishes like kebabs, mezes, and mixed grill. The restaurant typically provides a cozy atmosphere with friendly service, making it a great place to experience traditional Turkish flavors. Highly recommend. .
I honestly do not understand how this place has a 4.2. I’m actually baffled. I never write reviews but felt the need to after this experience. My friends and I went here and it was BAD. I rate wherever I go based on 4 things. Customer service, price, taste, and portion size for the money. For starters, the customer service was actually insulting. My friends and I have never experienced anything like this before. We walked in and asked for a table and the person that seated us rolled their eyes when they saw us. They asked if we had a reservation which we did not. The place was barely half full and till we left there were still many tables available. So they couldn’t have been mad if they had tables reserved. Also they would have said if they had tables reserved. So I didn’t understand the face the person made when seeing us. Do they not want customers? Once we sat down my friend tried to call someone over and they saw my friend but didn’t even bother attending to him. They attended to others instead. Including the table that was sitting right next to us. My friend called out to the same waiter multiple times. This waiter looked at my friend and ignored him everytime. Price was daylight robbery. And it goes hand in hand with the portion size too as it was not worth the price compared to other Turkish places like gokyuzu which is far better for the price, portion size, taste/quality and customer service. £19.95 for a mixed shish only for the portion size to be tiny and not even taste good. We all looked at our plates confused and were disappointed with the taste and could not believe we were being charged this much for something so below average. Summary. Horrible service, taste was bad. Lacked so much flavour. Way overpriced. Portions were small. Not worth it at all. Just go to somewhere else honestly.
We have ordered lahmacun but it was the worst lahmacun I have ever seen. Have tried some and only managed less than a half to eat cause it was not cooked and thickest dough you can see on lahmacun. I am not even mentioning salad they have sent with it.Food: 1/5
The food is amazing and very good. The service Irina was extremely nice. Would definitely recommend to come .Food: 5/5
I booked two week in advance due to Ramadan I didn’t want to rush. I arrived my table was already. We quickly ordered our platter. As food was taking time I thought I’ll quickly pray, they have small court yard at the rear as soon as I started to look for pray area other brothers joined around 10 of us guy prayed. Welcome Bread is really tasty. We ordered platters for 4, Food was juicy, hot, fresh and most importantly tasty. Spice and marination was spot on…service was friendly and the atmosphere was great, decent place to have a meal. We fancied ice cream for dessert they’ve run out with kids option on ice cream, so we come out crossed over the road and walked in to dessert shop to complete our evening meal Parking: Located at the end of Roman Road
Very nice restaurant and have always had a positive experience. EDIT: went here in 2020 after lockdown eased and yes it was busy but i was waiting outside with 4 others including 1 person waiting inside and no one bothered to acknowledge us or make any effort of an update. was truly disgusting so we went elsewhere. haven't been back since which is a shame as i used to go often. EDIT: Thought I'd give them another go in 2023 and thankfully the experience was much better this time round as usual.
For my first visit, a group of 10 ordered two family special platters and we shared 1 amongst 5 us and it proved enough as we got chips and other sides with it too. The manager actually recommended the size even though it says 3-4 people on the menu, which was nice of him to not try to sell more. Everything was tasty and felt fresh. The bread had a bit more flavour or powder to it which isn’t found everywhere. The grilled chicken wings was really good too as was the other meat and kebabs. The Lahmacun had enough meat. I personally preferred the whiter rice to the orange one but both go well together with the doner. Top service and food came on time too. We ordered again for collection not long after trying it out for the first time!
I have been coming here for 9 years! Amazing Turkish food… great portion sizes, very fresh food and always fantastic service! The bread, pickles and homemade chilli sauce is delicious. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
