I ordered the Syrian special with lamb for £14, but I was charged £9 and received it with mixed chicken instead. The meat lacked seasoning, and the only sauce I could taste was chili, with no garlic flavor. It definitely needs improvement.Food: 3/5

The test is good but could be better, price is quite expensive comparing to what I paid for precisely the same order in other Syria restaurant in Londonat least 5 pounds higher here, the atmosphere is acceptable but not that good. However the staff was so kind and helpful.Food: 3/5

Damascus is wonderful little restaurant in the Brickyard district. The staff is warm and friendly. Most customers are locals and native speakers confirmimg the popularity. The lamb shawarma wrap was a burst of flavor with a wonderful sauce, crisp veg, and tasty lamb. It will drip, so please be careful. It was press grilled to crispy perfection.
Going into this place I wasn't sure what the quality of food would be like. It didn't seem as fancy as the a lot of the food places in the vicinity, however the prices were reasonable so we went in. We were seated and a waiter promptly came and took our order. We ordered the large mixed platter with chips instead of rice. A short while later the food and drinks were set on our table and it looked amazing. However, instead of chips we were served rice. I went to the counter and told the chef and he said he already realised his mistake and the chips we ordered are in the fryer right now and will be with us shortly, rice was complimentary. The food tasted delicious and was done very well. The chef is Syrian and the food tasted very authentic. Good prices, good service and good food, what more could you ask for.
4th or 5th visit today! always return when i’m not in the mood for a beigel or curry!!!! top quality food with standard London prices. Service is top quality - boss gave us free big salad with our hummus and free sweets with our tea. Portions were massive and full of flavour. £30pp 3 courses + drink.Food: 5/5
We walked in to Damascus Bite after a short cold stroll around Brick Lane. Have to say I was impressed at how tasty the shawarma was, proper authentic Syrian style shawarma. I tried a mixed shawarma and both the chicken & lamb tasted amazing. The chips were seasoned with a unique Arabic spice blend. The pickles tasted home made, didn’t taste like the store bought jar ones. The tahini sauce it was served with was really nice, sesame tasting and mixed with possibly yogurt or mayo. To top it off, they offered free sweets at the end which was nice. The service was good considering the price and we were served with smiles. Overall a very nice dining experience, will be back to try some more of their dishes.
Delicious food, forgot to take a photo of it though. Had one of the grilled wraps, highly recommended!Food: 5/5
