Absolutely amazing!!!! The staff are brilliant and so accommodating towards their guests with disabilities like myself. The food is lovely. I've been to a lot of carveries and they're always dry and taste like ready meals. This is the first carvery I've actually eaten. It's the best carvery I've been to and the other meals are amazing too. Will definitely be going back. Such a lovely warm welcome
Ample parking. Nice outside area. Very quiet when we visited. Inside was nicely decorated. A smile and a bit more enthusiasm and a nice welcome from the bartender wouldn't go amiss....he literally just stood and looked at us...never said "what can I get you?" Or "hi there!" My 1st visit and to be honest if I don't feel welcome I won't go back.
Fabulous food, Hot roast beef yorkshire pudding wrap & baguette with roasties & yummy gravy. Plus the best onion rings ever! Really friendly staff... Our new favourite in the area!
Really good food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff.
My friend and I booked to stay at the Stump Cross Inn 2 weeks ago. We made arrangements that allowed us to be able to access our room around 1:30 in the morning following a ghost hunt at the nearby Shibden Hall. The staff and Management made this all possible without a fuss. We had an evening meal and a full English breakfast in the morning. Food excellent and accommodation perfect in every way; good value for money all round. Would happily book to stay again - excellent location for visiting Shibden Hall; Halifax; the Piece Hall etc.
Really nice place. Very bright and airy. Pub quiz on tonight wed so we did leave earlier than planned.Service: 4/5
Went for a team Christmas lunch. Everything was great. The meal, the staff and the atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Very good service, we were not sure about our table at first as it was right next to the emergency exit but was fine in the end. The food was very good especially the home made spring rolls as a starter. Mains were very good as well, we had fish pie and the chicken. Will be calling again soon
Lovely staff, quick to be seated and served. Food didn't take long to come. The only thing for me, was that the veg on the carvery was quite hard for me however that is just my personal preference that I enjoy them soft. Other people attended like their veg a bit crunchy so was perfect for them. Definitely be visiting again..and again.
We always come here for Sunday lunch when visiting Halifax. Always very nice but on this occasion a bit disappointing. The Gravy was tasteless and not at all like previous times. Also the Yorkshire puds were a little hard too.The meats were nice especially the pork and turkey but the gravy is a major thing on a Sunday lunch.
