Highly Recommend this place for a Delicious Meal.....Lovely Ambience and Roaring Fire.....A Very Welcome meal after a Long day 

Lovely pub with great food and attentive staff who always find time for a chat. We love this area, always a pleasure to visit. Highly recommended and dog friendly too!

Beautiful old pub to visit after a good walk... A lovely young lady with long red hair welcomed us on both of our visits there at the weekend.

Lovely building with very good Cov-19 precautions. Friendly and attentive service. Gluten free fish and chips and burger were excellent. Scampi and hot pot were good. The portion size of the hotpot was a little on the small side. Worth a visit

Fantastic little pub, superb chips! Staff polite and friendly, and just stunning surroundings, definitely recommended. Strolling distance from the castle, a relaxed pub with pretty beer garden. Really reasonable prices too.

Very impressive food. They elevated cheese and leek pie to another level. When chips arrive stacked into a little structure it either means they're being artsy, or the chips are thing of beauty, happily, here, it was the latter. Pub itself unspoilt, open fire, real ales, friendly and helpful staff. Full marks.
