Stayed for one night with my family of 4 in the Hayloft room. The room was amazing and very spacious. The bath and showered were awesome. Breakfast was really tasty. Karen was warm and welcoming. Only stayed on night but would love to stay again.

Second time back and loving it. Accommodation is excellent and they look after you, very relaxing. Will be coming back again as I can't imaging finding a better place to stay.

We're sat in the Hollins Hill View room as I write this, reflecting on what a wonderful few days we've had here. We stayed at a B&B in the Lake District a couple of years back that had been voted one of the top ten B&Bs in the country. I forget its name, but I otherwise remember it fondly. Stoop Farm exceeds even the best nostalgic memories I have of that place. Karen was waiting for us as we pulled up outside and showed us around the place before serving us cream tea while we relaxed in the lounge after a long drive. We've been made to feel so welcome here - it's the kind of welcome that's often reserved for close friends and family and I can't imagine you'll find friendlier, more personal or warming hospitality anywhere. As I mentioned, we stayed in the Hollins Hill View room. It's spacious, spotless and furnished beautifully. In fact, we've decided to use this room for inspiration for when we own our own house. The bed is comfortable, the view is excellent and the bathroom gets the balance between modern and rustic exactly right. Location-wise, this place is perfect for walkers. Hollins Hill, Chrome Hill (Dragon's Back) and Packhorse Bridge are all within short walks. If you've ever done the AA walking route to Dragon's Back, you'll have passed the farm before. We took to eating our dinner on the hills during our stay, having been lucky enough to have good weather while the sun set. In the room, you'll find both ground and instant coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar and natural toiletries (there's also an 'Honesty Bar' which we didn't make use of). Fresh milk is downstairs. I should mention that none of this is the UHT/sachet fare of most hotels and B&Bs, it's the sort of stuff you actually want to use. There's no allocation of two tea bags and two disappointing sachets of tasteless coffee per room. I haven't seen it done this way before, but it's set the bar for every other place I stay now. There's a welcome pack in the room that suggests walks from the B&B and places to eat/drink. We tried all of the former and one of the latter (Packhorse Inn) and weren't disappointed. I genuinely can't find fault at Stoop Farm. If you're looking to stay in the Peak District, I urge you to give this place a try. It might well be the best B&B you've ever visited.
