Decent pub, friendly staff and good value food. Live sport tends to be on most days! Thursday steak deal is decent value!
Super friendly staff and great food! I had booked a table as I we'd never been before. Was my partners birthday so as a surprise I drove us down to see the Frank Sidebottom statue which is just over the road from the pub. He was delighted hahaha oh and top marks for being a dog friendly pub too!
Nice place, waited over an hour for food that was nice and hot, yet too much butter in mash and on veg very greasy and pie was dissapointingly bland inside.
Love this place, the staff are always so welcoming. The food is decent. NHS discount on food, not including any offers though bear in mind. Karaoke was great fun Updating 13 Sept 2022, another fabulous meal at the stonemasons, they must know good staff when they see them and they must be good employers to keep them too. All the crew that looked after us today were amazing, we were celebrating my mums 65th birthday and she had a fabulous time, she's vowed to return for the senior special Along with Eliza looking after us there was Michael, Ash, William all front of house serving and making us all feel welcome, making my mum feel extra special too every time they came over. And the food, the nachos and award winning pies in particular, exceptionally good value and very tasty. All thanks to Ange and Aaron in the back working hard to get all our orders out together, even though we all ordered and paid separately. I don't need to tell you we will all definitely be returning ... Update March 2023, Still love going here, recently tried dome of the small plates and they were lovely. Again, all the staff lovely and very friendly. Always love a bite to eat and few drinks in here, it's my go to after a stressful week as its only a short walk away and always a good time.
highly recommended restaurant that offers a comfortable ambiance and excellent food quality. It's the perfect place for a delightful dining experience."
Good pub, you can still use service on the apps on phones but it's almost back to normal service now All in all a decent pub to grab a pint. We had some food and it was reasonable for the options and the pub food menu.
Large friendly pub situated in the heart of Timperley village. There is a garden patio area with outdoor seating and a covered area. Considerable food menu with vegetarian options and children's meals. Sports shown on two large television in different areas and friendly helpful staff. Worth a visit.
Fabulous catch up with friends as always! Great venue, great food, professional yet friendly staff......thanks
It's local and adequate, though not especially comfy and I've been a few times in 4 years, for a drink with friends or some food which has been enjoyed, but on the occasion we went mid afternoon, it was initially OK, but then a group arrived who were boisterous and acting silly; clearly rather boozed up. Bar got very busy when they arrived and another friend who later joined us waited in a big queue, then couldn't even make himself heard with his order. The place could do with being cleaner and appears to have deteriorated in standard. Table was sticky, there was dust to be seen, cutlery not washed properly and my glass was filthy, which I wiped with a napkin. Really not that impressed, I'd say it's a bit 'rough' though obviously popular with some locals as regulars know one another and seems friendly.
Nice place to have a pint or 2, took the family out for mothers day yesterday, food was the worst I've ever eaten at a pub, I honestly have had better tasting and presented food in jail. Mum and the Mrs got Sunday dinners, gravy was like water with jelly in it, the turkey and beef so undercooked, the dangerous thing is my Mrs is pregnant so I made sure she didn't eat it, my brother asked for "well done steak" on his mixed grill, it was well done alright, burnt to a crisp only bit of food that was salvaged was the burger my younger brother ate and even still it was dreadful. Like I said, nice place if you're having a beer but I'd rather nip in Iceland across the road and eat a microwave meal than the food on offer here. PS it wasn't even busy so no excuses for the shambles of the food we received
