Another "Down memory lane" pub visit with Flic. Came here a few times back in 1974 - 75 when I lived locally and maybe once about 30 years ago. A J.W. Lees pub with excellent range of their real ales. Had a pint of their autumnal bitter "Bramble". Very good. Great value pub. Beer garden and car parks. Very pleasant visit. Parking: Parking to both sides of the pub.
We had a fantastic 3 course christmas meal last night 23rd dec. The parsnip soup was one of the best soups ive ever tasted, the turkey dinner was excellent and the cheeseboard could have served all 3 of us but was only supposed to be for 1. Great quality, great portions, fabulous service, well done Moss TrouperFood: 5/5
Booked a table for six on the 25th August with family to have a Sunday Lunch at 6.0pm. When we were greeted at the table we were then informed there were no Sunday roast available!!! We then had to wait there for a considerable time before someone took our order and then we were informed there were no thick cut chips available. When the meals arrived we had problems with the large fish being mainly batter and the onion rings absolutely dripping in oil !!!! No waiter staff came to enquire if our meals were satisfactory and no staff arrived to enquire if we needed any drinks. We had to go separately to the bar to get more refreshments. No staff arrived to take our desert orders and we eventually got tired of waiting and requested the bill by searching out staff in the bar area. The most appalling service ever and eating experience.
Nice neighbourhood pub. Wide selection of beers and drinks. Food choices are good as well. Ample space and pleasant interiors. Good service
Loved the food it was absolutely amazing, I had the fish pie and it was stunning, Guinness was perfectly poured and the service was impeccable! Loved it will be back for great food and great peopleFood: 5/5
Came here for lunch a pub I used to go too a lot, we ordered food 2 x hunters chicken, the chicken tasted mushy, think this must be portioned up and sent to the pub then reheated. Complained to staff about the food, he tuck it away and came back and said well its reheated so nothing wrong with it. Well must have been if both people on same table couldn't eat it. He said well its still plated up so we can reheat it. No thank you, and he went away. Didn't come back and ask would you like anything else. Not sure if they were under pressure cos they had two funeral parties in. Will not be having food from here again, but will have a drink etc.
Always good food, great atmosphere and good service. Really good pub that serves good pub food.Food: 4/5
Large, open plan, 1950s style local pub in Timperley. JW Lee's ales, with excellent home cooked food. Can get busy but due to the size never feels uncomfortable. Always very clean and attentive staff. Dog friendly.
Accessibility needs improvement to many ad hoc tables and chairs making it difficult to get round to other areas within the pub, welcome table blocking on one side of bar, and a pillar on other side so it is to small for a wheelchair to get through.
Lovely Sunday lunch at Moss Trooper, very tasty food and friendly staff.Food: 5/5
