We ordered a goose and a piece of beef for Christmas. They were both superb - really good quality and delicious, so very good value. The service was great - Daniel got a fresh goose for us then froze it so we could take it to France a few days before Christmas. I think we often forget how good personalised service from specialists is compared to the very impersonal service and mass products from supermarkets. Definitely worth a visit ... and a purchase!
Fantastic butchers in Tooting market. Great value for high quality meat. Excellent service from the guys with advice on which is the best cut to buy. Recently had a rump of beef which was delicious and one we wouldn’t usually choose. Can highly recommend and now won’t go anywhere else.
Really good value, more variety would give them 5 stars. Price was really good and of course as good salesmen I was enticed to buy more and what I got sirloin, belly pork and pack of 24 sausages came in about 30% less than a major posh supermarket starting with W and was similar quality.
Great tasting meat and good value. Always offers a deal! And will keep your shopping in the fridge if you want to stop for a beer in Tooting Market! Recommended.
Don't usually write reviews but this was worthy of one. What a scam! Charged me £8 for 1.1kg of chuck but when I got home it was only 500g? Ridiculous
I have been shopping here for over 18 years. Good, cheerful service and the meat is of a good quality. Bought a lovely piece of pork for roasting and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. None left!
I used this Butcher for the first time for a large order as my ex neighbour and sadly now late great mate used to get his Meat from there. I had previously bought the odd bit here and there but decided that it was time to kick the Supermarket into touch and use a dying breed namely a Butcher. I ordered a Chicken,wanted Mince Meat,Roast Beef and Pork Joints too. What I got was first class value for money,was able to select lovely lean Beef of which there was no wastage and the Chicken was stripped bare. As for the Crackle on the Pork,to quote David Jason lubbly jubbly. Stannards will be seeing me soon at Croydon Market and have already alerted 5 friends to pop by and see them at Croydon Market
DISHONEST DISHONEST DISHONEST . went to buy pork belly off the bone and didnt have to shop around. He wanted to charge me £19 for 3kg. I said that's twice the price in independent non-gourmet butchers. In the end, charged me 11.50 and I just checked it at home....2.1 kg with flipping bone.. CHEATS
Martin is a star. Wonderful steak!!! Great price too for sausages and lamb steaks. We'll be going back for more.
I've been coming here for years. Good quality meat and the customer service is always with a smile, these guys are so friendly and professional. Wont go anywhere else for meat.
