Finest butchers in a country mile..I’ve bought steaks, lamb, pies, sausages and larder provisions and everything has been perfect. And I get it all delivered. You can’t always rely on food you don’t pick out yourself to be perfect, but in Chadwick’s case, you can trust them to send the best.Also I love the fact that their environmental sustainability credentials are integral to their business. In fact as a family run business, integrity is so obviously passed down the generations. Can be rare to find that attribute nowadays in an era of Twitter bullying..
We were served by an unhappy butcher!!! There had some nice stuff there, we got some meat ball in sauce look very nice indeed. So that's when the fun started ,they were so badly packaged that as soon as we put them in our bag they leaked everywhere!!! All over our other shopping!!! We were not told be careful that it may leak or offer a bag to put them in. So avoid buying anything the packaged up as it may leak everywhere
My favourite butchers in SW. Happy to drive 20 minutes away from home each time to shop with them. The staff are always lovely and friendly even when I ask lots of questions. Thank you Shane for helping me request, and Mark for making the Scottish lorn sausage even though this is something you only make during the colder months. The Scotsman at home is very happy. Also thank you other Mark for giving me cooking tips! You guys are a wonderful team. You know you’re shopping at a serious butcher when they make their own dripping and broth. Must check out their Summer BBQ meats, especially their lamb shish, it’s divine. Faithful customer, Denise M
Highly recommended. We’ve shopped here for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Super friendly & down to earth staff. Great quality, traceable meat, without any pretence. Some great offers through the week. A trip to Balham wouldn’t be the same without stopping here.
Love the shop and staff. Never had a problem. Helped my Son prepare a cut of meat for his GCSE catering exam. Excellent produce and a lovely family run business.
EDIT: I fear this place has gone downhill. No record of my order, which they made up on the spot from the odds and ends they happened to have behind the counter. Neither the quality of service nor the quality of meat that I've come to expect. Here's hoping it was a one-off. Minus one star for the moment. -- Previous review: A real proper butcher's. They've got good quality meat and a bunch of expertise - they're very happy to advise you! Their cooked pies etc are great, and their selection of marinaded kebabs etc are hard to resist! Yes, they're often very busy, often with large catering orders - but they're in demand because they're so good. One of my favourite butcher's shops anywhere.
Chadwicks is is a superb Butchers and Gary and his team are great. Not only do they source fantastic meat from reputable farmers, but they also create their own food items too. I always get my meat from Chadwicks as it is better quality than supermarkets, and because it isn’t pumped full of water, it goes further too. I have never bought a bad item from them. They are a true part of the local community.
I love this place! I bought some ribs and they were so good I have to write a review. The guys here were so helpful and gave me advice on the best way to cook them. I definitely recommend to anyone that wants the best meat in town. One very happy customer indeed :
All the special dates would t be special if Chadwick's didn't provide all the best meat and pies, stuffing and trimmings. You literally cannot go wrong if you shop here. Tell them what the occasion is, family dinner, party, Christmas, Easter or the best bacon butty you can imagine and they will make sure you have everything you need. I always shop here
Have always had a good experience here - great produce & good customer service. It's good to have a proper butchers & not just supermarket where meat is far inferior.
