Great range of meat, slightly expensive, but you get what you pay for. Their own brand chickens are great. Take care to check the meat you receive at the point of purchase; we had a bad experience in that department. If you check though, then you won't be disappointed. Also, that is the only bad experience since they opened in Dulwich. For turkeys though, you may be better served using William Rose's original supplier, John Howe on johnhoweturkeys.co.uk
OMG, what a great BBQ and prepped meat / poultry selection on offer! Skewers, kebabs, marinated steaks and chicken. And as always, friendly, personal service with requests to prep meat warmly received.
Fantastic place! I’m regular at butchers and these guys and gals are one of the best in London with superb produce and fab customer services! Keep up the good work, you’ve fed all of Dulwich population and the little ones too xx

i came in today to buy what i think was the last of the rolled rib eye and i cant stress enough how lucky we are to have a butchers like William Rose near us. Every single thing i've bought from there has been excellent and the price is always very good. Customer service no.1! Anthony is a lovely man and my husband whos been going there for many many years said so too. Will look forward to my steak
Reply to owner; i bought the pork and leek sausages this time around, last time it happened to the cumberland. Its happened to the steaks also. I know i said a "vinegar" taste, literally the meat was spoiled. Will you start putting dates on the products? I have been using this butchers for a while now, the more I use it the more dissapointed I get. I have noticed that the meat is going off quicker, bought sausages on Friday and they were stinking by the Saturday morning. I have experienced this a few times now, the meat has a vile vinegar taste. None of your purchases come with a use by date, which is pretty standard in most butchers now. They won't tell you when the product was put on the shelf either. Be careful, don't buy your weeks meat, it won't last.
I found this butchers a few weeks ago on a work trip. I was astonished at how reasonably priced they where and good the beef tasted. I brought my partner with me yesterday to get our weekly meat shop. The customer service was excellent, they were polite and offered great service and advice. We are both black and both times we received excellent service.
Although on Saturdays l always have to queue its worth it, the quality of the ham and pork and leek sausages are second to none. I bought these items from the tome they open the shop in lordship lane and never let me down with the quality of produce
I asked for an aged steak they gave me a piece that was not aged at all, had terrible texture was almost impossible to chew. The bone attached to the meat was so long that it was impossible to fit it in any casserole leaving the steak flat. The meat was cut in 4 pieces and kept together by a band. I am sorry but this is not acceptable, especially for £20 pounds. You have to be respectful of clients and listen to what they are asking.
