Worked around Wandsworth Town on a Saturday couple of weeks ago, so I chose to visit Cleaver's for lunch. Lovely local spot, selling fresh meat, pies , other products, and serving fresh food as well. Dom recommended The Butcher's Steak Sandwich, which comes with caramelised onion, horseradish, and rocket. Also had a MAC 'n' Cheese and fries on a side, Sanpellegrino Aranciata for a drink. Dom and the team prepared everything from scratch, fresh food, great seasoning, and sublime flavours. I promised, if around during weekdays, I'll return and try Jack Daniel's Beef Brisket slowly cooking it on a Sunday for 12 hours , if I remember correctly . Highly recommend visiting if you're a meat lover !
Could be a local gem, ruined by seemingly discourteous staff that appear to not want the custom. Prices are reasonable, meat's great and there's a nice place to sit outside. Just a shame this isn't reciprocated with the staff as could've been a real favourite.
Couldn’t say nicer things about this place. It really made our day. Ordered the steak sandwich and the steak burger. The steak sandwich was wonderful and the burger was the best I have ever had. Hands down. Customer service was lovely too. When Dom says ‘trust me’, trust him. That man knows what he’s doing! Can’t wait to go back.
Our boss treated us to a lunch from Cleavers yesterday. Oh. Em. Gee. It honestly was the best burger that I have eaten in my entire life. Mega delicious! And the gents that served and prepared the food for us were super funny and friendly. If you’re nearby, make sure you grab some food from here. Top marks from us, we all had very happy tummies! ‍
Really disappointed by the way Cleavers is heading. I was fully supportive of the new hot food options to start but not at the expense of having a local butcher which now appears to have been sidelined for an average lunch option with incredibly slow service. I hope they can find a better balance between the two parts of the business before the butcher disappears completely.
Superb customer service from Dominic. What an asset to any butchers. So chatty and informative whilst being completely down to earth. I have reconsidered where I shop for my meat based on this single interaction. Thank you Dominic and hope to see you soon.
They had what I wanted: lamb shanks, when neither Waitrose nor Sainsbury's had them. And I didn't have to order the online. You can't beat a good local butcher.
Service is always on point. They are friendly and good priced. Sandwiches are great. Very helpful if you ask for something outside the menu. My regular!
