A lovely traditional park with lots to see and do. The park has good play areas for the little ones which includes a water fountain play area in the summer months. A lovely coffee shop in the centre of the park with an ice cream van present near the play areas for most of the warmer months. There are also bowling greens, a duck pond and aviary with various types of birds to look at. Worth a visit if you're in the area and an excellent way to kill a few hours for free.
A beautiful park to visit for a walk or a picnic with family, it's a shame the tropical conservatory is no longer here, it has some beautiful exotic plants in it. The bird sanctuary is lovely, birds of all kinds are well looked after.nThere is a nice little train ride that you can take a ride in around the park which is great for kids.nThe cafe is good, simple but friendly staff and clean.nThe food is nice and the toilets are clean.nThe park has a Victorian walk that you can do with little waterfalls and bridges, it's off the main paths so can be a bit muddy in parts.nAlso I'd like to mention the Adorable Squirrel friends of the park that love to come and see what food you have for them, they are not shy to get up close and will take nuts out of your hands if your calm and gentle.nI definitely would recommend a visit it's a great place to go for a Sunday walk and a summers day.
Been here various times over the last couple of year's, can highly recommend for a short walk, a picnic or a couple/few hours with the kid's.nThere's lots of green space, a bowling green, a football pitch, tennis courts, a kid's sand pit and play area with climbing equipment.nAlso, there's water fountains and a boating lake.nThe cafe has great food and drink options with indoor and outdoor seating.nParking available close by for free.
Had a lovely time with the kids in the park, then the water fountains, and to finish off a little picnic under a lovely tree while the kids had freedom to run around.
Always a great day out in Stamford park. Well known for its play area, water fountains and little diesel train tour.nAway from the play equipment there is a beautiful hidden gem - a nature walk with a river and waterfall features as well as the boating lake, which you can walk round.
