Only ventured as far as the lower and upper play area with my 6 year.nLots of fun though.nDefinitely going back to have a wander around the rest if the park
One of Tamesides hidden gems. The main entrance has 2 big open spaces for ball games etc. A young children's play area with a gated sand pit and further up the hill an older children's play area with climbing frames.nBut the best bit is the public orchard at the top of the hill and the wildlife sanctuary plus a plethora of wild walking paths.nPopular with dog walkers please pick up your dogs waste and families alike. A good stroll around Cheathams will get the heart pumping and is a joy for the eye. 10/10.
Fantastic park it brings community together in Stalybridge & Tameside! A fantastic green space for the family and walking dogs ! Play areas are well done ! They have amazing events here which brings us all together!
Lovely and well preserved park. A haven for those who love some quiet time. Songs of birds serenading the air. Good for kids and animal lovers too.
Despite living locally I had never visited this park which is a shame as its excellentnnThe outstanding aspect is the nature trail through a deep valley. We visited early one warm and sunny morning and were rewarded with lots of bird song including a distant woodpecker. I suspect we only covered a small part of the park itself so a return is in ordernnTwo negatives. There is no obvious car park and street parking is limited. Tesco is close so I suspect people may park there.nSecond there was a fun fare in the main park and the council had provided portable toilets. Unfortunately one had been overturned or had overflowed, either way the contentv had spilled down a major pathway. Hopefully just a blip
