Omg the spa is amazing absolutely loved it , it was a shame our present of the hydrotherapy we couldn't split between the big pool which was in an opposite building for our 2 hour slot? But we loved it , it was a Christmas present from my gorgeous daughter and the evening meal was beautiful.. my only fault was the breakfast , it was really busy and it wasn't the best the bacon was only cooked on 1 side ? And the eggs were cold.nBut we loved it , if I had to pay for the whole thing , then I might be more judgmental. But the spa is outstanding
I had booked a wreath making class at this hotel which I was informed had been cancelled. I understand the hotel has a right to cancel within 48hours which is fine. However, the customer service has been extremely poor. First there was no apology for cancelling- simply the class is cancelled. In addition I was given no time frame for when I should receive my refund. I have emailed asking about this and still no reply. I have used the spa facilities and health club on several occasions which are beautiful and have found the service to be very good. To leave a negative review has not been easy. However, the customer service is simply not good enough, especially for a 4star hotel.
We have done 3 short breaks here and have our fourth booked for September 2025 - so safe to say we like it here, in fact, I'm sat in their bar with a pint of Korev as I type this review.nnThe restaurant has undergone some refurbishment since our last visit with the introduction of the Norish concept and it looks like the Brasserie On The Bay restaurant has had a lick of paint - the work completed has really updated the look. Unfortunately what that has done is make the bar look rather dated, so hopefully a refit of the bar is on the cards for the future. We only have breakfast on site, so can't comment on the overall food other than the breakfasts are always really nice and well presented and with the continental buffet options you will get a filling start to your day.nnThe staff are always friends, engaging and well presented and always up for a chat. The speed of service is on a par with with most of the restaurants and bars in Falmouth in that it operates on Cornish Time, in other words, it won't be as quick as you are probably used to. If all that bothers you, then this isn't going to be the place for you.nnI do agree with some previous reviews with regards to the rooms, they are small for what you pay for, frankly I have been in larger Premier Inn rooms. They are clean and modern with good facilities and a decent amount of tea/coffee/toilet rolls etc which are all topped up daily. The walk to the beach is never more than 2 minutes from any part of the resort and the majority of the rooms have a sea view - so for me that pays off the room size.nnIf you want to be 2 minutes from the beach and sleep in clean modern rooms most of which have sea views in a resort that has 2 onsite restaurants, a bar and a co-op yep, it even has a supermarket right next to the entrance to the car park then St Michaels will deliver that for you. The walk into the main town centre is around 10 minutes.
What a fantastic place! There is a spa with a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot tubs, and outdoor jacuzzi which only costs £25 per session. They offer a full range of beauty treatments, all bookable online. There is also a separate indoor pool with a steam room and sauna area and if you stay, access is included in the room price.nI dined in the brasserie and the service especially our waitress, Holly and food were excellent. Even the drinks in the bar were reasonable for hotel prices.nThe room had a small fridge and hospitality tray, and there were Elemis products in the en-suite.nI enjoyed it so much I've booked to go again in 3 weeks time.
Great location and the brasserie served us really great food, special mention to our waiter Cristian he made our meal feel extra special.nA few negatives, queuing for 20 minutes for the breakfast, reservations for the Spa and Brasserie over the phone failed to materialise so we actually missed out on being able to use the Spa.nRoom was OK but the bathroom suite was tired and in need of modernising plus the walls are paper thin, so lots of noise pollution.nAll the communal areas were classy and had a nice vibrant feel but the negatives could be avoided with a little investment in facilities and staff to make it a truly memorable experience.
