My daughter and I have had a wonderful time at Merchants Manor Hotel. The hotel is situated in a perfect location, close to the local beach, but only 5 minutes from the town centre. The room was clean, with all the facilities we need to make our stay a very enjoyable one. The staff are friendly and very helpful, especially if we needed to have breakfast earlier in the morning. The pool and spa are an extra bonus. I had one of the spa treatments which was excellent. It's definitely a hotel I would love to return to.
Celebrated our one year anniversary here and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful ensuring our weekend away was perfect. The spa facilities were amazing and the breakfast was delicious. Our room was absolutely stunning with a beautiful balcony view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely too. Thank you to all who made our stay really special.
The location, breakfast room and bathroom were amazing – very peaceful. First, I was a little disappointed that our room was on the ground floor with limited light, but the black cat made an appearance, and she made my day, such a sweet kitten. We also enjoyed the swimming pool; however, there was a strange smell in the changing room with the showers. The garden was lovely and quiet, with a perfect spot to enjoy the sun. We are thankful to the housekeepers who made our bed every day, we truly appreciate it. In the hall near the staircase, there was a delightful fragrance every day!
The hotel is a little past its prime and would benefit from some updates, including improvements to the breakfast offering, which was unfortunately very limited. That said, the staff were excellent: professional, friendly and genuinely welcoming, which made a real difference to our stay. We even received a small goody bag when we checked out, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated.
Lovely long weekend at this hotel, easy 5 min walk to beaches and less than 10 mins town centre. All the staff we came across were super friendly and helpful. Lovely large room, very clean, maybe a couple of small decorating issues would make it even better.nDelicious breakfast and we would definitely stay again.
