My daughter and I joined Sprint 3 months ago. The instructors are brilliant, however be prepared to work hard. We are both thoroughly enjoying the character, strength both mental and physical as well as the bond and respect amongst our peers that we experience every class.
Our family all 5 of us have been with Sprint Martial Arts for many years. The instructors and outstanding ethos are what drew us to the club and what has kept us there. It's been amazing to watch the program develop the kids into confident young people. Would highly recommend.
Sprint Martial Arts is a fantastic school and I cannot recommend them enough. I've enjoyed every minute of my training with the team and head coaches since I've joined. It's a welcoming atmosphere with friendly and warm staff, the other students are a joy to train with and make you feel part of the team from the moment you walk through the door. Alex, the head coach, is a great teacher and lovely guy, he has really created a fantastic and welcoming school for all to train in.
My daughter really enjoys it here. It's very welcoming. The instructors are very good role models and encourage to build confidence. I've noticed the training has helped improve her fitness and technique in other sports outside martial arts. Alex provided online sessions during lockdowns, which were not only great for keeping up the learning and fitness, but helped give a routine and structure to the week.
I trained with Sprint in the early 2010s for a few years. Was on a CIT course hoping to get a black belt but wasn't determined enough. In 2020 I came back - older and less fit - with a lot of encouragement from the team. A handful of familiar faces are still training with Sprint, and that says a lot about the place. It is a friendly yet competitive environment. I have seen young people training with Alex, growing up to be champions, and are now my instructors. I will recommend Sprint to anyone interested in martial arts/kickboxing. This is a family I enjoy training with.
My children have attended Sprint for the past 5 years and absolutely loved it. Alex and his team have developed their technique, fitness and attitude all through encouragement, passing on of knowledge, instilling an ethic of hard work and not letting them give up. Pushing them to show them what they can achieve. An amazing school run by amazing people.
I cannot describe how great it was to return to the dojo after lockdown. Zoom classes kept us in touch but can't beat the feeling of feeding off the energy in the room. Both my daughter and I have been members for 4 years now and have both benefited immensely. My daughter has come through Little Dragons one of the few to grade as black belt so youngm beginners Junior and is now an established member of Junior leadership. It has done wonders for her confidence physically and mentally and she starts and finishes with a smile on her face. I have been a martial arts fan all my life and thought I was too old to take it up but thanks to encouragement from all the instructors not to mention very reasonable rates I have progressed well and find it therapeutic as well as physically challenging. I particularly enjoy that as well as getting high class technical and syllabus coaching we are also encouraged to be creative and have fun. Sparring can be intimidating at first but there's no buzz like a well matched contest and touching gloves at the end with a bow. As far as the dojo goes it's never been cleaner, it literally shines and despite all the hard work always smells so hygienic. Sadly I'm injured at the moment and don't know when I will be back but one thing is for sure I will be and can't wait!
So happy I found Sprint Martial Arts. Their attention to detail and correct technique, combined with a friendly and supportive atmosphere makes it the perfect place to train for both competitors and people looking to up their fitness levels. There's a wide variety of classes/levels so you'll always be sure to be in the right place.
An inspiring environment that is evident from the strong leadership and filters through to the students. Technique, fitness and camaraderie are encouraged and there are opportunities for regular sparring. Best investment Ive made in my personal growth in a long while!
A great place to train with excellent knowledgeable coaches. Having trained at multiple dojo’s over 18 years Sprint Martial Arts is up there with the best in terms of professionalism, safety of students and quality of coaching. Stay safe.
